This is nothing like the "Girls Room" that was on MyPS3.

For starters we actually have dedicated admins to make sure this thread runs as a place for girls to discuss games, not as a place for guys to harass them. We keep a VERY close eye on this thread to make sure that sort of stuff stays out of here. Play good boys.

the only people who can be bothered to do that are kids around the age of 13

Like Guyver said, this isn't anything like the girls room at MyPS3.
For starters it hasn't got the same creepy members constantly lurking about.

Well, the girls room at MyPS3 was mostly guys. There were only about 3 or 4 regular female members including myself (there's less now though).

Girl gamers have proven their worth to me for the rest of time!!

I'd like to point out that my or anyone elses validation isn't something any girl gamer needs. After all, your just another gamer to me and don't need anyones approval to do what you like.

I had a quick browse through that thread a while ago, to see what may be to expect from a girls thread on here, I'm glad this hasn't ended up quite like that one. I must say, I've been pretty impressed with the guys here. Most of them have been nice and well behaved! (don't you get any ideas to start playing up now :-P)

Stick to the thread Phat. For God sake leave the grass cutter bit out and let the girls show us what's important.

I haven't been here often/long enough to know everyone yet.

As for retro games, I love the old Sonic games on the Sega Mega Drive. My brother and I used to play Sonic 2 together.
One of us would control Tails while the other had Sonic.
Made it a hell of a lot easier to get the Chaos Emeralds.
Oh, and I have Sonic Mega Collection or whatever it's called for my PS2. All the old Sonic games on one disc.

Bring out Mario Kart SNES and that'll be one I'll be putting a lot of time into (yes, slight obsession). But for now, there's really none that I still play. I do have a few VC games, but seem to be developing a problem for having a short attention span I've got too many normal Wii games that I haven't finished yet... So they hardly ever get played.

I can't say I play any of them anymore but back in the day
Alex the Kidd & Sonic on the Sega
Cosmo, Duke Nukem & Commander Keen on pc
Pac Man on the Atari
Early mario on Nintendo 64 I think it was
There was also some winter sports/extreme sports game that I loved on one of those consoles, just can't seem to remember what system it was on.

So what's the word for Women/Girls then? Melon-fest O_O lol.

What's the next game all you girls are planning to get?

I've been keeping my eyes on NiGHTS for a while now, but now it's out I'm not that excited, don't think I'll bother unless I hear it's worth the purchase. So I think my next will be Zak & Wiki, it's meant to be released this month....

*haha* Melon fest doesn't sound too bad, don't mind it actually.

I'm hanging out for Rock Band to be released in Oz on the 360 so that will probably be my next planned purchase. I have a habit of buying cheap or decent priced pre-owned random games that sound interesting when I'm out which is why I say planned purchase.
As for the WII Metroid or Super Mario Galaxy when I see them around a me kind of price.

Having said all that I plan to have a look at the freebie ebgames voucher game when I'm not at work trying to be checking in between people walking past my desk. If either sound remotely decent I might pay a visit on the weekend and see if any 360 preowned games in stock tickle my fancy.

I'd go out and hire Zak and Wiki if you can. It's fun but you could beat it in a couple of days of solid play. A little easy except for the last 3-4 areas.

Well the next game I'm getting is called Rule of Rose for the PS2 (I don't have a wii yet ).
Anyway, it's a survival horror game that was banned both here and in the UK. It will be here in about a week.

Really not sure. There are a whole bunch I'd get if they cost $35, but since they're mostly $80-100, I'll save up for the special ones, you know? Like Endless Ocean - nice to try out if it was $20, but anything more than that and I'm not all that fussed.

Zak & Wiki seems interesting, or maybe one of the get-yer-feet-moving ones like WiiFit. I like the idea of a game that gets me up off the lounge...
