PSPNDSBOY said: Is this really a big deal? I can remove them if you like. I was just asked nicely whether i could make some icons for the Girl Gamers. I thought i was doing a nice thing
LostDjinn said: Oh dear lord. Here's an idea, why not split the site into two parts. Leave the one for guys as is (focused on any game of interest). Then cover the other in pink and show the words "girl gamers" alot. (Patronising maybe?) Look, I see it like this. The popularity and lifespan of the site depend on content, not girl gamer icons.
phatbass82 said: Oh dear...resisting...sexist...idea...for new website. I'm not going to say.
phatbass82 said: Oh Omi, Omi Omi Omi, what are we gonna do with you... Tell me something, of the ladies who play videogames here, who likes really violent videogames?
Omi said: That's not sexist at all, that's just Marge. It's her character, and it's bloody funny! lol!
phatbass82 said: Ah, but she looks at it as sexiest. Just like all the commerical's on TV regarding cleaning products. I don't think I've ever seen a guy on there doing the cleaning, so I can kind of see where she's coming from.
LostDjinn said: Looks at Omi and backs slowly towards the door. Hehehe. Yeah bring it!!
Diabollus said: Should all be like me and not take offense to anything. World would be much easier then.

Do you take offense at Homer being a no-good lazy beer drinking husband? Why not? Why isn't it as offensive to stereo-type a guy like that? Because females haven't always had the same rights as men, and that seems to still be stuck in the heads of many-a-woman, even though we're pretty much equal now-a-days. Cleaning commercials I can see why that is somewhat sexist, but some people get in such a state of mind that they will see anything stereotypically female as an attack on females in general. It's not until we see ourselves as equal, and can take a joke when it is meant to be one, that we will ever be equal.
