Blogs \ Things to do to prepare your self for Street fighter 4

Well like many people I’m just twitching in excitement eagerly waiting the release of the up and coming Street Fighter 4 and the more I hear about the game the more I want it. So I’ve decided to conjure up a list of things to do to keep your Streety skills up to scratch until its release.

5: Play the classics

The majority of the basic Street Fighter moves are executed using the same direction and button combinations so blow the dust of your older consoles and whack in one of the many released versions of Street Fighter and get practicing. Ok so not everyone is a retro console hoarder, luckily there are a number Street Fighter versions available for down load for all three of the current gen consoles.

4: Random Button Pressing

You can’t be around videogames all the time to practice your skills so the next best thing is to improvise. If you see any machine that has six or more buttons on it why not utilize that and start practicing your best Street Fighter button combinations. Just because you don’t have sprites jumping around on a screen in front of you doesn’t mean you’re not getting better at it. Note: this is not recommended for people that work in missile silos.

3: Harnessing Gaming Chi from Coins

After many years of coins being pumped into Street Fighter arcade machines across the globe, these coins have been slowly absorbing the elite gaming chi of Street Fighter masters and as one coin touches another this chi is passed on. Gather up as many coins you can get your hands on and surround your self with them while focusing your thoughts on Street Fighter eliteness. If done correctly you can absorb some of this gaming chi for your self. Note: Eating these coins has the opposite effect

2: Harnessing Arcade Gaming Chi

This has the basic principals as harnessing the coin gaming chi but multiplied 10 fold. Find your self a good old school type videogame arcade and I’m not talking about the woosy ones that have sensible lighting and security patrolling for safety either. Look for one where the cashier is sitting behind a 4 inch thick bullet proof piece of glass because this is where the hardcore Street Fighter players have played. Spending time in locations like these while having the right mindset will help you in sharpening your Street Fighter skills. Even if you are not playing anything just concentrate and absorb the gaming chi.

1: Real Life Hadoken

Be one with the game! Keep that Street Fighter energy flowing through your veins at all times by randomly going up to people and doing Hadokens at them. Practicing the most noted Street Fighter move of all time in public will help form a bond with the game. And as a added bonus you’re bound to run into some that will want to smack you around for being annoying, you can use this received pain to help develop a higher pain threshold which you will need for the long exhausting gaming sessions you’ll be doing once you get your hands on a copy of Street Fighter 4. Note: Walking into a martial arts tournament and doing Hadokens is detrimental to your health.

I hope these tips helped and please use them sensibly…..enjoy!
