I really can't be bothered with getting a star rank in all cups and Grand Prixs, just gold trophy is enough for me... I can't believe I got 1 star rank on special cup 150cc, and I only got 55 points.

I'd say its worth it, i changed my style completely to get it. Used a light character (toad) with that stupid duck bike - its got fantastic acceleration so even when you do get hit you lose very little ground.

Was super sweet having control over drift with nunchuck in manual mode though... Did Mario Kart 64 work the same way?? If it did I used to play heaps and never knew... lol...

Knocking people off the edge feels so invigorating ... but then being knocked off yourself sucks, especially if you've just been knocked off and been placed on the track, and someone decides to send you off into space again by knocking you off again (in reference to Rainbow Road)

ugh..i hate time trials, they so hard for me, i can never beat the damn expert one you need to beat to unlock the next one. so i reckon it will be ages til i unlock funky kong/baby luigi n anything else that requires stupid time trials

Yeah, they can be a pain, I was suprised when I unlocked Rainbow Road expert staff ghost. It was easy. I'll tell you how I easily got expert ghosts. Just download the world champions ghost data, see what he does, copy it and BAM you unlock the expert staff ghost.

lol yer i tryed that a few times, but i need to get used to more karts/bikes. right now i would say i am really good with the kart- royal racer and the bike- bon bon. they have a good feel for me, there drift is good and handling is good, the sopeed to acceleration ratio is also good.
