Keep your eyes peeled, seriously. I scored my G15 keyboard from EB Games for $99.95 in Sydney when I was last there. I got them to price match it to David Jones, so really David Jones had the deal. You should be able to get it for around $100 anyway...

Here's two places that has it:

I have a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. They perform very well, but for games I prefer my Wolf Claw gaming pad and my Logitech G3 gaming mouse, even though they're wired. I'll get a wireless mouse sometime later.

I never understood the point of full-size gaming keyboards. Don't your fingers get bunched together when using WASD on any keyboard? That's the reason why I use a Wolf Claw now.

Hehe. I'm use to it myself. I know when i'm old, my fingers are going to be screwed with Arthritis

I don't think I would recommend people to get wireless gear for PC gaming. I haven't come across as single wireless keyboard/mouse that hasn't had a lag...even just a slight lag.

I was looking at a Belkin Nostromo n52 when I was shopping for a gaming keypad, and chose the Wolf Claw instead because it had more keys readily available. Plus I got it for $60.

Wolf Claw, are they the ones that are always sold in EB Games and Harvey Norman. I'm just trying to picture it. I think it's just a big circle with heaps of buttons on it...

Hmm, i think i will just stick to my millions of macros and my classic WASD keys

That thing is just scary. :| I for one, type and game with the same keyboard. It's a regular OEM keyboard, it came with my computer. It is just fine.

Actually phatbass, that Wolf Claw you pictured is the one that comes attached to the end of a standard keyboard. I have the standalone kind, the Devour. It has more buttons.

A typing keyboard is just fine, until you use a proper gaming keypad and realise that you've had your wrist in an awkward position and your fingers crowded together all along, and that it may inconvenience you later in life.

I'm looking for an online FPS that has a decent number of players in the evening (Australian evening is American early morning, so server population takes a nosedive).

Please don't say War Rock — War Rock does not allow Australian registration. Please don't say CS or CS: Source — I don't particularly like its play style. Too fast. America's Army is okay, but server population greatly declines in the evening. There's two people on publicly listed servers now. I don't know of any unlisted AA servers.

Or should I give up on internet-distributed games and buy Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142 from the shops tomorrow?

Mhm...Have you tried war rock or cs source? But Bf is great fun, but you should get Halo1 for pc that's a blast, so is Half Life deathmatch.

Call of Duty 2 is very popular online on PC. My girlfriend's brother sits there for hours and hours and hours (I really mean it for real) playing this damn game online.

Incidentally, I have both those games already, but never liked playing SWAT 4. To me it lost something that SWAT 3 had in spades. I might try COD2 tonight.

Any other suggestions?

Okay, sorry to change the subject again, but I'd like to resurrect the topic about using an LCD TV as a PC monitor.

The last time I hooked my PC to my 100cm Sony Bravia with an S-Video cable, the maximum resolution I could choose was 1024x768 when the TV does up to 1920x1080 and my video card can do 2048x1536 on displays up to 2560x1600. Furthermore, the picture was pretty blurry on the desktop, browsing the web etc. Less noticeable during games.

What's the deal with the tiny resolution? What's the deal with the blur? Can anyone recommend a good TV for PC use around 26-40" for $1000 or less?

Hmm. I think you might need one of those HD graphics cards. I just built a computer the other day with a cheap 2600pro card, which had component output. Maybe this might help?

Er... I should have mentioned that my card has dual DVI-D output, but because the VGA port is at the back of the TV, and the TV hung on the wall, I did not use it.

Sheesh. Then that's what you should try then...geez...s-video. I thought you'd know better than that, desi. S-Video from PC to TV is for broke asses like myself, with just a regular TV and blurry as all hell!

I did see an LG LCD last night at Target for 50% off. 26" 48cm one. $699. I was so tempted to buy it, but I prefer to save it and get a much bigger LCD/Plasma...
