It does have some of that "bleeding" that people tend to go on about. I only learned the other day what that was. Top and bottom of the screen which is only noticeable when the screen is black. But that is seriously fussy if that bothers you.

As for where I got my LCD from...hmm. I don't want to tell you. Oh, ok. www.umart.com.au

www.gamedude.com.au - they also have it for $4 cheaper. Bah, umart is closer for me to pickup the item.

I have the Asus ASUS VW222U 22" model, since I forgot to mention last night.

Extra props for identifying the games I'm playing on each monitor. Hint: they're both 4X games. I'll post an action shot of some games (CoD2, Oblivion etc) on the LCD TV once the camera has charge and I learn how to use it. Maybe I'll show off Supreme Commander's dual-monitor feature?

It's actually treated pine, rubbed thrice with thinned linseed oil. There is a gloss on the desk but it's not shiny, if you can wrap your head around that.

I kept it light to match the colour of my other furniture.

Yep that makes perfect sense, I'm just used to looking at dark timber finishes

Just finished the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare PC demo. It is smoking, though I can't speak for multiplayer (SP-only demo), but from what's been written about it, its multiplayer reward system will probably make it one of the few FPS I can stand playing online.

Runs beautifully on my rig, as smoothly as CoD2 and prettier, if you can believe it. 1.4GB.

Just a side-note: why is a 5.56 or 7.62 unable to penetrate a boarded-up window to hit a machinegun nest behind it? I wish Infinity Ward had gone the extra step to at least use sandbags instead of boards so that I wouldn't be taken out of the game by something like this.

Besides the CoD4 demo, I've also been playing a freeware game inspired by Robinson Crusoe. It's a survival game called Stranded, and this is the second in its series.

One is half decent.
3500+, 1GB DDR, 120GB, 9600.
The board in it is 100x better than the one in mine, it's just not worth the hassle of swapping them over.
