The Minimum Requirements don't looks very demanding. 1GB of RAM and a Geforce 6600. I'll bet that the Geforce 8800 they put into Recommended Requirements is wishful thinking, a sort of hedging of bets.

I'm downloading it now. I'll tell you if it's worth 1.06GB.

Good luck, I can't wait 19hours; I am moving soon though, back to 170kbps or hopefully 2984kbps like my old cable.

Just played it. As expected, it won't be a game that tests your rig. If you want a test, try running Strangehold PC version — that was sloppily ported from the 360, and consumes incredible amounts of resources for what it does.

The game itself? I play a lot of FPS, so please take my word for it when I say that Jericho is tripe. My arguments against it are basically my arguments against Medal of Honor: Airborne; the mouse control is like butter on teflon (sensitivity doesn't scale low enough for a 2000DPI gaming mouse) and there is too much camera movement for no reason. The saving grace of MOH:Airborne is that enemies don't respawn.

That, and the general hokum of, 'ooh, it's a horror game; more gore and less lighting.'

You seem to have missed out on Page 2 of this thread.

Spend it on an 8800 Ultra instead, or a Core 2 Duo or a 22" monitor or something.

Or hell, for as much money as 2GB of RAM costs you, perhaps you could tinker together parallel dual-core processors!

I need to learn how to build a computer. It surely can't be harder than making a croquembouche.

Srsly?
Never done before?

Ha.
I built 10 in 4 hours.
Pretty much - if it doesn't POST the first time (for me), the board is ****ed. There's a certain Gigabyte board to look out for. I don't know if it was a bad batch or what - but we had 5 or 6 of them fail.

In the year that I was working there, that was the only board I saw fail out of box.

No way, you've never built a computer? Now that's odd...

Yeah, I've never built one before, at first because I didn't have the money (back in high school), and now because I don't have the time (working). But when ye olde computer faire comes around I'll be sure to visit and pick stuff up.

I've never built a computer before, due to bidget limitations. I could easily build one if I had the parts. It's easy, trust me.

It's fun building your own computer. You know what's exactly running in your PC then. Plus the fact that you've sat there building a beast is quite a satisfying feeling!

Guys, I need some recommendations for 22" LCD Monitors. I'm currently looking at the Asus VW222U monitor. I'm really not looking to spend over $400 for one.

Ah ok. I've seen one in the price range, but it has a 5ms response time ( www.gamedude.com.au/ ). I forgot to mention that I was after a 2ms response time LCD screen...

Well in that case the asus is a good choice for under 400...especially considering the RRP is 500 inc GST

Yeah probably. Good luck trying to search for it, since the search button is still broken. This is still pc related. Just have a little read back through the other posts in this discussion.

I know. Officeworks had it for $499. So I checked out my sources and found I could get it for under $400.

It's a toss-up between the ASUS MW221U 22" widescreen and the ChiMei 22" widescreen.

Chimei is much cheaper, so I'll probably go for that. Any objections?

Always funny when people don't check system requirements. I just Googled for you, and it's unfortunate that no one's made a Shader Model emulator.

When you return the game, just say it makes a clicking noise in your drive, as if there is a disc read error.
