Get less RAM because your processor won't need 3GB for a while. You'll have to Google your video card. Make sure your sound card has support four at least 5.1 positional audio, though anything higher is preferable. The problem with 5.1 is that there's no speaker directly behind you, so you may not hear something behind you in a game unless it's skewed to the right or left and those speakers pick it up.

It's alright but gets hell laggy most of the time, specially when everyone else is logged on =/

It's a lease computer with about 6 months left on it, but im gunna upgrade the RAM soon and get a couple hdd's. The new computer is gunna be a custom made one, i'm going for:
Quad Core
3gb RAM
8500GT (maybe)
22" Widescreen LCD
and maybe a 2nd burner, namely the Pioneer 112D

Ive got a two year old toshiba with a ati card in it (shared 128mb) and it runs vista like a dream, better than it ever did xp, aero and all. Its not exactly the question you asked but hope it helps.

Its a 320mb 8800GTS, not GTX. But for my budget it was much better value. It cost $407 from ITestate in Sydney. Was willing to pay a bit more for a reputable brand than sparkle, galaxy etc. Although an Asus would have been optimal

Exactly vista doesnt need the dream machine everyone thinks. Im running it on my 1.6g celeron laptop with 728mb ram (shared with gpu) and areo works fine. Like ive said before it runs better than xp did. Its also on my main machine which is a 4 year old p4. no problems at all. it has 1gb ram and works like a dream to. Its hasnt had anywhere near the problems i used to have with XP. Vista "craps" on XP
