Seems your wii has been Semi-Bricked. Unfortunately, I am not too sure on what to do as I haven't really looked it up properly.

BUT I think you can fix it. I suggest searching around on:

i think i have seen somewhere that you can download a semi-brick fix cd somewhere on the net, i didnt really pay much attention to where it was though because they only said it was for the NTSC. so maybe do a google search for something on those lines.

all of that depends on how much of a brick (if any) you have.

that happened to my friend's NTSC-J wii. his settings wouldn't load after trying to load a PAL smg.

what he did was load the japanese version of mario kart and let that update the wii. after that it worked again.

not sure if this helps because it might only work with ntscJ?

Whenever I pop in Rockstar Table Tennis (NTSC) It still fades to black then goes back to the main menu! I tried Mario Kart (PAL), it turns black and it gives me this msg, -001 detected unauthorized device- or something like that.

So i'm assuming my wii is still semi bricked.. or 1/4 bricked. Do I have to wait for another 1st party game for an update or there is more to this? (i hope!)

the future updates in the games may be able to fix the problem because they are designed to fix any bugs that will prevent the game from working, and as they do this, it might fix what ever the problem is that is preventing burnt games from working.

Games that worked were: Zelda, Mario Party 8, and Red Steel.

Remember, these games use to work! Now whenever I try to boot it up, it goes to the black screen then back to the Wii Menu.

bricking will only happen if you do something silly , i recommend reading up on how to avoid bricking before getting a wiikey ,it is really easy to avoid once you know how .
basically don't update from a disc not of your region is the simplest way to put it.

nope cant help .
i didnt update to 3.3e .
have you tried 1.9s config to see if settings were changed when you updated to 1.9s
