4. bottom and top of my screen is cut off all the time, regardless sometimes its better than others

1. Marios/Squirtles gun freezes in single player only. But in vs mode, for it not to freeze Mario and Squirtle can't be in the same match and they can't be on a level with water. They also can't be in the same match as sonic.

2. Could be the media you burnt it on or your Wii.

3. Turning deflicker off should fix that. But I still sometimes experience that too.

4. No idea how this happens. I got the same problem, but I don't really mind.

Only happens to copied versions of the game. But for some people, their isn't a problem.

Running the back up copy of SSBB...disk shows up but when click on start there is a black screen. Is this due to it running at 50hz?

How do you fix it?

Happened to me when I first ran my copy, but when I changed my wii to 50hz and it worked. Maybe try 60hz?

What hz setting does wii orginally set to?

Hey phatbass, what I suggest is that you load the game up in 50hz, then go into the options and turn Deflicker OFF.

Then, turn off your Wii (don't go back home, turn the console off.) and turn it back on. Change the TV settings to 60hz, then boot up the game. It'll sit on a black/blue screen for about 20-30 seconds then the game will boot up. Now you turn Deflicker back on and it should run perfectly!

This is what I did with my Wii and my Wiikey, with a backup of my original.

Wii is set to 60hz....press start...after a few min the game still doesnt load...also tried to load up in 50 hz...still get a black screen.

If the 1.9s update didnt work correctly will the system still recognize the disk and not load up?

You don't have to change from 60hz to 50hz every time, you just need to make sure you turn deflicker OFF before you turn off your Wii when you've finished playing. This way you can just start the game as normal and turn Deflicker back ON.

It's a little bit of a nuisance, but so worth it to play Brawl early.
