I'm most likely old enough to be your Dad.

I've always loved gaming (pc, console, board) and have been gaming electronically for over 20 years.
The most serious gaming affairs have been either with RTSs or FPS but after a stoush with some gaming admins over some guilty-until-proven-innocent reckoning (it was hot on Whirlpool at the time), I've pretty much gone off PC-based online gaming... that and the continual bleed on my pocket updating PC specs.

I admire skillful players who win graciously and offer advice.

I can't stand win-at-all-costs players who will use every exploit in the book to win that's not in the spirit of the game (e.g. bunny-hopping in FPSs, environment-fault exploits, aim-bots).

I'm also no friend of the "Totally pwned j00, n00b" crowd of "winners".

Gaming is about fun and competition. It's certainly not about propping up one's own piss-poor ego at the expense of others.

30-10-2007 - Notice I've been quiet for a while?
Well, apart from work, a couple of months back I bought a PS3 and the poor old Wii never got a look in. I don't make enough money to support two consoles, plus a hand-held (DS), so the Wii is now on it's way to a new owner in Victoria.

I enjoyed the Wii, so you won't find me turning into no Cha'Wodden, y'aw no wad am seyn?

...packing up my Wii and waving it bye-bye. It's been sadly under-used since the arrival of the PS3 and I can't afford to keep both (and a DS) as much as I would like to...
