The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess review - 9/10

Is this the best Zelda game ever?

The real question is - does it have to be the best Zelda game to warrant purchase? Surely if it is a great Zelda game then it will be worthy of forking out your hard earned to play this title.

Once again it is only by going three rounds in wii sports boxing against the person who disagrees with you that will enable you to truely settle the 'which is the best Zelda game' debate.

I found this game to be incredible fun. I had a lot of fun while playing it. I often found myself laughing or thinking "this is really fun!" which is surprising because most role playing games challenge your thinking, problem solving ability, creativity, and patience - but rarely 'fun'.

It doesnt feel like a 'true' Zelda game and you often find yourself thinking "A wolf? Who is baking the cookies at Nintendo headquarters????"

But it is a really really really good game.

My personal gripe with the game is it is too long. Toward the end of the game - after about 40 hours - you reach auto pilot as you just want to finish the stupid thing so you can have your life back.

Because for the last few days you have been living, breathing, smelling and dreaming of hyrule and you know that you will not be normal again until you pass the game.

This is a title everybody should buy because it may well be the best game until Mario Galaxy comes out.

Oh - and there is nothing more fun than charging through the fields on your horse and slamming into the enemies.


So is it the best Zelda game? I personally think Zelda III is truer to what I believe the Zelda series to be.

I dont get this whole elf child thing, nor do I get the wolf thing. And the story line doesnt make as much sense and you often think "Why do Nintendo keep changing the story? Who cares if they recycle the same storyline? We love it!"

I would love to see a remake of Zelda III - but in the same 3D fashion and played in the same way as this title.


But having said that - it is still a great game and well worth buying.

The ratio of wiis sold and this game sold will be close to 1:1

Dont be the only person to have not played this game.
