The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 9/10

Just kinda hyped about finishing Twilight Princess, so I'm gonna write a review.

The strange thing about this game is that even though the main character, Link, doesn't talk I still like the guy. There are heaps of characters in the game, and they're all unique. Doesn't bother me at all that there's no voice acting; I started to forget about that an hour into the game. The story isn't too complicated, but has a few twists and turns here and there. Sometimes you might find you're doing all this random stuff for no reason, but after completing each dungeon, another piece of the story is thrown at you.

The graphics are really good for a game which was made for the Gamecube. I'm still a last-gen kinda guy, since I don't own an Xbox 360 and I've never played a PS3, so I don't know about other people, but I found the graphics in this game more than bearable. Like many other reviewers have said, the water effects are really good. I also like the effects used in the Twilight.

Dungeons... man... these are the best and worst part of the game in my opinion. You really have to use your brain in this game. Before Zelda I was playing Kingdom Hearts, a button-mash fest which was easy as long as you had a strong thumb, but with Zelda, you NEED to think. The puzzles in the dungeons are numerous and many of them can drive you insane, but the thing is... as you spend time smacking stuff randomly and running around in frustration, you will find clues. Then you try something new, and you find it does something. When you finally solve the puzzle, it makes you feel like you're on top of the world... and then you go the next room and you get another brain buster. If you're impatient, get the guide, but if not, try and figure out things yourself; you'll appreciate the game much more this way.

I have mixed feelings about the music... Some of the music is epic and great to listen to, while other times I cringe and try not to reach over and turn the volume down. But overall it's pretty good.

The length of the game is satisfactory, as I'm an RPG gamer. I finished it in 35 hours, but I hear the average is 40. But there are tonnes of extras which I haven't touched yet, so to completely finish the game, I'm guessing it'd take upwards of 60 hours.

Gameplay with the Wiimote and nunchuck is very fun, although your wrists will start to hurt if you play for more than 2 hours. Sometimes the controllers won't respond the way you want them to, but this is understandable, as Zelda is only a launch title for the Wii. Fishing is also a great experience in the game.

So... in conclusion, Zelda is one of the greatest games I've ever played. Just don't ask for help or use FAQs and you will experience the most rewarding gaming experience EVER.

I'd give it 10 out of 10, but there's no such thing as a perfect game.
