CSI: Hard Evidence - 7/10
This game is based off of the hit crime show, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, where the main characters who work for CSI basically figure out 'whodunnit', and the same applies to this game.
Firstly, this game is quite basic. There's a lot of point and click. Don't let that put you off though what is actually quite a fun game.
Your task is to view and analyse the crime scene using the pointing controls of the Wii remote. You can zoom in, look around, rotate your view, and interact with different objects.
When you find some objects, you may be able to use your CSI tools to analyse them and collect evidence, in order to find out who killed the victim.
Don't be fooled, it's not particularly that easy. You need to have a very keen eye to be able to spot all the evidence around the crime scene. Which is where a huge flaw in the game comes in..
If you are struggling to find evidence, you can ask your CSI partner for 'a hint'. This hint system gives you not just a hint, but the answers to exactly what you have to do. As a result, the game is either incredibly easy or incredibly hard.
The interfaces around the game are very nice and easy to use. However at times, the game takes a while to load, and because there is nothing to show you this, you might get confused that that your wii has 'crashed' and turn it off in anger. Not a smart move.
Graphics are nice and suit the sort of style of the game.
Use of the different CSI tools is nice and changes between them is effective, and actually allows the player to learn something about forensics while playing.
Due to gameplay getting slightly repetetive at times, and slight bugs being in this game, it is rewarded with a 7. Not the best score, but not particularly bad either. It is mostly recommened for those with a keen eye, or those who are a fan of the television series.
