Virtual Tennis 2009 with the rackets is a disappointment to me, as you cant use the rackets with motion plus!!

Good point there about those raquets. Bit of a design error there!
Oh well i'll just get both tennis games, they both seem good from the few reviews i've read

I've read on another site that the Motion plus is $39.95AU
on its own, not sure if that price is 100% accurate.

At that price though it would be better to buy the
games that go with it. Sports resort, Grand slam tennis
Tiger Woods 10, its a costly exercise for us,
as we need 4 motion plus units

JB-Hifi has Motion Plus for $27
I've been playing EA Grand Slam Tennis today and it's pretty good.
I hardly won a point against Federer but i'll keep practicing.

Think of it as Wii Tennis but faster. I've been playing it without the nunchuk but luckily you can still choose where to run using the d-pad. Push up and you go the net, down to go back etc etc
You have to hold A or B to do loft/drop shots. Federer is tough, which is good if you want a challenge. It tells you your calorie burn after a match aswell.

Yes and it still plays fine. You can slice and put top spin pretty easily.

75% of the reason I'm getting it is for M+. I just want to be able to play multiplayer without having to buy a second M+. I'll get a second M+ with Sports: Resort.

I've read a couple of good reviews so far, IGN 8.5 and some other one gave it a 9. EuroGamer gave it a 5, but I'm guessing the bloke who reviewed it has either no coordination or a loathing of sports games,(it was the polar opposite of the other reviews)
I'll be picking it up on Thursday for sure.
