New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be released in Australia on November 12, 2009, according to retailer EB Games.
While there has been no official word from Nintendo Australia, this fits in with the European release which is scheduled for November 20. Ninty hasn't been too good with release dates of late. Metroid Prime Trilogy is the latest big name to be dated by retailers, rather than the Big N, for its release this Thursday, October 15.
EB often have filler dates, which can be way off the mark and are just there to encourage preorders. However, we expect the game to be released in November, so this one sounds about right. At this stage another retailer (or two) listing the same date is about as much confirmation we are likely to receive; unless Nintendo has a sudden change of heart and decides to actually 'officially' date one of the biggest Wii titles this year.
