Rumour: Charles Martinet Teases New Mario Game

The voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, has teased on what we believe to be his Twitter account about recording the voice for an all new Mario game.

In three separate posts he wrote:

  • "Mama Mia!!!! I'm going to Seattle this week to record a new Mario game! Woo Hooo!!!!! I can hardly wait!!!!1"
  • "Big day tomorrow! Seattle for a new Mario game! Yippee!!! And just as a joke, it's going to rain....in San Francisco tomorrow!"
  • "Awesome new Mario Game! And it's not NSMB Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2, but it's going to be crazy fun!"

Interestingly he claims that it is not New Super Mario Bros. Wii or Super Mario Galaxy 2. Considering these are both for Wii, perhaps there's a DS game in the works?

As with anything announced on Twitter these days you have to be careful and confirm that it is actually a legit account. It looks like the real deal, but until we hear more it's very much a rumour.

Yeah, I think so too. If we get too many at the one time, they'll get old real fast. Ofcourse I'd love more Mario games...but not this many at the one time!

Maybe...but I was hoping for Kid Icarus..plus, that mystery game at IGN was already finished..or atleast finished to a certain extent because weren't they going to play it?

Anything is possible since there is only usually 1 Mario freeroam game(Galaxy) on every Nintendo Console.
They could do the same with these 3...

Oh really? He did say it's another Mario game..so I'd say Luigi's Mansion is out because technically it doesn't have Mario in it.

Probably the next SSB game, I'd assume they've started working on the next and they need to get the main man's voice.
