I just got this game for $49 at JB Hi-Fi, and it isn't all entirely bad. This is my first RE game so I am a bit of a woos when it comes to scarry stuff...

Shooting is really a pain in the ass same with getting used to the controls.

I'm going to do a review when I get the chance.

I want to get that after I finish this. Fimilarise myself with the Resident evil series.

RE is nothing like RE4. It's completely different besides following the storyline.

I've mentioned about RE4 to Tails many a time, he doesn't seem to get it.

Would much prefer to spend the cash on RE4 than this.

You've only just hassled me to get it.
I said I would get it later, it was still $70 at JB and EB.

And why is it that RE:A according to Piero is nothing like RE4?
I understand if it's the controls have changed.

RE was about fixed cameras providing claustrophobic atmospheres in pre-rendered environments. It was about tension and ammo conservation.

This continued in the earlier games up until RE4 which changed to a 3rd person shooter. Camera simply follows you around (making for easier control) as you blasted your way through hoards of 'not-zombies' In short RE was about 'survival horror' whereas RE4 is much more an action title.

Both good games, both very different to play.

Oh I understand but I still like them both for their invated thinking. Different, maybe but still a strong game binded by hidden detail.

This archives version is pretty good, don't know why you would have a hassle with shooting, It's auto aim. I prefer the original gameplay over any of the other ones

I'm a huge fan of the entire series which is why I got into umbrella chronicles in such a big way. It covers most of the early stuff and when dark side chronicles hits it should fill in the gaps nicely.

I just hope that the archives series doesn't just simply re-release the other GameCube RE games without updating them visually. You see when this game was ported to the gamecube they completely redesigned the graphics engine. RE2 on the other hand was a straight port from the PS1.

i am g that the arvhives version of 2 is not a direct port, if that was the case, well it wou pretty obvious they are only trying to recoup what they lost on the gamecube version

I wouldn't normally think that it could happen but who knows? Wii has seen some pretty lazy products hit shelves. Maybe it will be tied in with Darkside Chronicles and use the same assets?

Here's hoping! =D

Well a waste of money another remake of Resident evil one. Whats wrong with capcom? As much as I'm waiting for the Darkside Chronicles I really want a Brand New Res title for the Wii that's not re- telling the umbrella story over and over again.

You don't, it adds them to whats in your gun, if there is anything remaining, it will stay in your inventory
