Wii News \ Nintendo Trademark "Active Health"

Nintendo Trademark &quote;Active Health&quote;

Ninty are on a health kick, that much is clear. Walk with me! is the latest health title on it's way to the Nintendo DS, following the lead of Wii Fit and it appears we have more on the way. While browsing through the European trademark database (as you do) Siliconera have discovered Nintendo have trademarked Nintendo: Active Health.

Nintendo registered the trademark on January 8, and it was at first thought that it may be the name for the DS fitness title Personal Trainer: Walking. But wait that's titled Walk with me! in Pal regions. So what Nintendo: Active Health is exactly remains a mystery. Wii? DS title? Or perhaps something for Reggie's personal use?

I've got a better idea, charge royalties for people using it. Think of the money. If it was even 1c you would still be rich instantly!!

By the way do you realise people also copyright colours? Coca-Cola red is illegal to use!

What that makes me wonder is, who the hell has the audacity to claim they can give out the trademarks for colours! Unlike words colours are not a man made invention so who the **** has the right to give out copyrights on colours.

What do you mean "of course"? The Wii has motion controls for interesting, immersive games (which by the way failed, unless the motionplus is any good), not freaking fitness programs. It's a gaming console, for god's sake!

Agreed, I'll look after my well being. I just want a Wii (and DS) to play good, fun and interesting games.

Too much WiiFit, Brain Training, Sight Training, Word Coach...

I'm still waiting for 'Control Your Wiimotions' for the emotionally disturbed crowd.
