A remake of Dig Dug clone, Mr Driller has reached the Wiiware service. The concept of Mr Driller W is simple, you drill down into coloured blocks until you hit the end of the stage. You’ll need to grab every ounce of air you can find, and avoid getting squashed by falling blocks from above – a direct result of your drilling patterns. In the harder difficulties, it becomes harder to predict where the blocks are going to fall, so it’s up to you to drill yourself deeper to get away from the avalanche above. Because of the possibility of instant death or running out of air, you’ll have to quickly decide the path below or you’ll perish.

Mr Driller W features colourful anime art style which is pleasing to the eyes. Several control modes are available to fit every gamer. The game also features three difficulties with randomized stages, which means you’ll be drilling through different layouts every time you play. This drilling game is incredibly fun and keeps you on the edge of the seat, but it’s incredibly short length may not provide value for everybody.
