You, Me & The Cubes Dated
You. Me & The Cubes is a WiiWare title that is being directed by Kenji Eno (D, Enemy Zero) and will be published by Nintendo.
A puzzle game with a difference, You, Me & The Cubes has players throwing Fallos, which are the little characters on cubes, checking they're spread out to avoid the Fallos from falling off. To throw a Fallo onto a cube, shake the Wii Remote, point it to where you want to throw the Fallo and then flick the Remote, the cube it lands on will then tilt and some Fallos will need places on the other side to keep the cube stable.
The object of the game is to get a set number of Fallos onto the cube at once before the time limit expires, the Fallos will try to help out by walking around the cubes surface and help other Fallos stay on. Multiple cubes and different cube surfaces will increase the difficulty of the game as each level is passed.
Fenji Eno, what sets the game apart from other puzzle titles is the inability of manually moving the Fallos once they have been placed onto a cube. Eno also believes that players will get attached to the Fallos they have thrown.
In a Q&A on the You, Me & The Cubes mini site ( www.nintendo.co.uk/ ), Eno said:
The player can't directly control characters in this game.
Even though players just watch what happens after tossing Fallos onto the cubes, I think they'll feel a sense of responsibility as to where they tossed them. Players will be saddened if the Fallos they placed on a cube fall off, or might feel some sense of satisfaction if the Fallos help each other accomplish something.
You, Me & The Cubes will hit the WiiWare service of PAL regions on September 25 2009.
