Mario Kart Wii review.. - 7/10

Mario Kart....Think about the series, one of nintendo's key famous francises...If nintendo wants to keep mario kart a famous series they need to truly come back.

Gameplay: The core gameplay of MKW is the same as the first one on the SNES. Youve got the return of the grand prix, time trials etc, etc. Nintendo has made some pretty cool tracks in MKW and awesome retro tracks, but... The new addition of the wii wheel took it too far, for example drifting and boosting used to be harder on the previous mario karts (you had to wiggle your analog stick while drifting). But now all you have to do is do a normal drift and you will get a boost. I used to be thrashing my friends in Double Dash because my friends couldnt drift properly.

Graphics: The graphics of Mario Kart Wii look pretty much the same as Double Dash and arent exactly up to ''wii standard'' and it is hard to see any improvement on some of the retro tracks.

Online: The online is the best It runs at a snappy 60 frames every second and dosent slow down, It is great to see that there is a leaderboard and you can play with your friends using friend codes.

Replay value: There is tonnes of stuff to do in MKW after you get gold in every cup, you could try getting a star in all of them which is obtainable by coming first in every race in the cup.

Music: The music is bad! it didnt take a step up and the old music has merely been remixed.

Nonetheless of the bad graphics and extremely bad music, the game is solid, any wii owner would like this game. 7/10
