At last Mario Kart Wii has landed in Australia, and also hoping, into your own wii. Mario and friends will battle it out in a fun, exciting and entertaining new experience to the Mario Kart series. You will experience some never for played gameplay with the all new wii wheel. So take out your wii wheel and lets race!
So what's new, then? There are sixteen original tracks across the usual four cups.
Mushroom
Fire Flower
Star
and Special
There are also now included the Shell, Banana, Leaf, and Lightning Cups which remake classic tracks from throughout the series, from SNES and GBA to DS and GC. These round out the number of tracks up to a very high 32.
There are also a wide range of vehicles to select and choose from, all of which having different scaled values. Also there is a numerous about of players available for choice, and a bunch of players needing to be unlocked through-out the game.
Mario Kart offers constant chaos of weapons, spin-outs and stop-start pacing. Seeming like a thrilling, action roller coaster ride that doesn't have a finish line. If anything his game is one of which, will never get tiring or have a high boredom factor.
The multi-player is fantastic, which up to 4 players offline and aswell as a great 2 player online option. 1 to 3 players offline allows you to do Grand Prix, VS and Battle, however, 4 player offline can not preform a Grand Prix Event, which I myself was quite disapointed.
The online for Mario Kart Wii is fairly good and simply to use. It allows a 2 player online feature which i think is very fantastic. The games tend to load very fast and efficiently, and in my opinion has a very good connection rate. With online you have the option of playing VS and Battle type of race.
You are given the option to search for a game either World wide, continent or from your personal Mario Kart friends list. Which, by the way my friend code is 3222-5905-6899
The graphics arn't the top of the drawl, though they are quite good. The players, vehicles and tracks have had a fair bit of work done of them. Depending on certain levels could determine the type of graphics, as on SNES tracks they try to made it look a bit for old style. In the end your not really going to have time to stop and look at the surroundings and scenery as you will be too busy racing for the number one position.
The controls are fairly simple and easy to use. I think the wii wheel is fantastic and makes driving a whole lot of a better experience and is far more enjoyable. Though you are also giving the option to use just the wiimote by its self, gamecube controller or the classic controller.
Overall i think Mario Kart Wii is a exceptional game on the wii console and is a mandatory, must buy for any Nintendo Wii owner. The experience of the wii wheel is indescribable, the online is fanominal and the offline play is fantastic. So if your looking for some exciting, enjoyable and fun racing action look no further then Mario Kart Wii!!!
