So Metal Gear Solid 4 pretty much closed the door for Snake in terms of being the final game for him after many years.

However it doesn't mean that this will be end of the Metal Gear series as creator Hideo Kojima may have just opened a new door for a new person to replace Snake.

Here's what he said:
One decade has passed since the release of Metal Gear Solid. I believe that fans have shared these past 10 years with Snake. The final story of Snake equals closure for these fans. Therefore, the Snake that has existed over the past 10 years could have only existed during this time.

I would like you to think that this good-bye to Snake is a good-bye to this era and represents closure to your old self. If there ever were to be a new Snake (might have a different name), he will be a Snake for a new era.


So if Hideo Kojima does bring out a new Metal Gear game could we see it on the Nintendo Wii.

After all Hideo Kojima pretty much loves Nintendo having a close relationship with Miyamoto who requested for Metal Gear Solid 1 to come to the gamecube which Hideo did. But let's not forget that Hideo Kojima also begged for Snake to be on Brawl so there is quite a chance in the near future.
