Gaetano you really have swallowed all this Liberal crap over the years haven't you.
When the Labour party was in, the interest rates were high as they were everywhere else in the world. It was an unfortunate thing but regardless of who was in power that's where they were going to be.
If you add up what the current government has done to prices over their time (petrol, food, housing) your paying a lot more in those regards and in other taxes than at the peak of interest rate high of 13.5% which only lasted 12months.
IR laws allow new business and current that change their business models to completely screw their employees. You want a country akin to America where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer? The Unions are there to stop such accounts occuring if they weren't there in the past we would still be working 12hours a day and be underpaid.
We are in an apparent golden era of government with a wealth of prosperity, yet education and health are grossly underfunded. We have a billion dollar surplus but does anyone ever see any of it? Oh i forgot your average employee will see a $8 a week extra in there pay.
GST was supposed to releave taxes such as income and various others, last time i checked my pay slip there was money taken out for tax. Petrol still has it's 39c a litre tax and i pay 10% on top of that, a tax on a tax good governing economics there.
Need i go on?
