It appears there are no issues. I bit the bullet and did mine last night. This update looks fine. Who knows what the next one will bring.

Annirowe and mywiisites are right, we'll never know what the next update could bring. If you really want one, then get it. It's worth it. Now a days, we will always be living in fear of being blocked for having a modchip. No point waiting for a fix, because this will always be endless.

It seems to me rather foolish to buy a modchip when the Wii and modchips are still in it's infancy. It will always suffer from early version problem.
(Apart from the fact that it is illegal to play games you don't own, but that's a side issue.)

I had the wiikey config disk problem too so I tried a different method. I have a GCOS emulator disk I made and when the GCOS comes up, I swaped the emulator disk for the wiikey config disk pushed "A" said when the drive was found the wiikey config poped up. Hope this helps.
