Shouldnt 4 be No. The Wiikey doesnt stop him from playing NTSC. More to the point its going to allow him to play more than what he can at the moment?

Um, yes. Mainly the console update. There's only been 1 wiikey firmware update fairly recently (well, two if you count the minor update to play Mario Galaxy). So far, no problems have been found with keeping your Wii upto date with the latest updates.

My Wii was connected to the internet previously, but 2 weeks ago we disconnected the service with the old ISP. We still haven't got the new broadband yet (thus, no wireless internet yet) ... and I've played Ghost Squad (NTSC-J) on my Wii today.

That's why I made the post above. Because I played a NTSCJ game on my Wii (3.1E) when apparently I wasn't supposed to.

But according to MrMorden and phatbass82, they say that I'm fine. So yea ... *whew* ...

However, after I'm connected back to the internet ... I'm not supposed to play NTSC games anymore hey? Seeing that my Wii is a 3.1E and mine has a Wiikey in it ...

I realize that doesn't make much sense. I was meant to stop it at 15% but I let it go longer for some stupid reason. It doesn't tell you when it's 15% either so get a ruler or something if you don't want to guess.

If you find SPM addictive, IMO you aren't going to leave home until you beat SMG.

You don't have to pull plug, just switch off at wall.
