Because he mods consoles?

GCOS is a program that launches gamecube homebrew. It embedded in the wiikey config disc, but you can also get it by itself. I don't have it by itself, I have an EMU disc that i used it with. As soon as I find it for download I will let you know. It was hosted on tehskeen forums, and that place has disappeared overnight.

hey guys yes i did just sign up to post on this thread but i am stickin with it till i get tired and wana go ta bed (i hav school in the morning and its 11:20 where i am)....
im not all that concerned coz by the sound of it all that screws up is that the wii can no longer read the wiikey setup disc... no biggy yes my wii is chipped and yes its a wiikey but as long as it boots with gcos im happy.... hey ozmodchps do u hav a link to the EMU disc u hav o yer and thanx 4 the chip i bought off you and so far nuthin wrong

i hav used the WiiShop Channel to get vc games in the past but the novelty wore off on them in a few days so i dont think i will be doing it agen

thats exactly what im doing

and no you dont supply me, i get my chips directly from shenzen. i have been doing so since ps1 days with the PICs

i have 3 consoles in my apartment, 1 is mine, the other my sisters and the last one is my girlfriends.. sorry if it sounded like i was bragging, but that was not my intentions.. i maybe a newbie to this site but i am definitely no noob

I have a disc here that someone kindly made for me. I am testing it out on my consoles, and a 2.1/2.2 console. When I have tested it I will chuck it up

not trying to start any flame wars, but i dont sit here and refresh this one website just to post comments.

back on topic, all i have done tonight i mod a few consoles BEFORE updating the firmware.. tested my games and they all seem to be working.. called up my clients to have them test their discs they are reporting that all is well

i have just downloaded GCOS, will burn it and test to see if the wiikey setup disc can be booted after loading GCOS - i will post back then to let u guys know whats up

see so from what im guessin.... the only answer to this problem is that if u update ur wii console before having a wiikey installed u will have problems as stated in this thread (error message) but if u update when u have the modchip already installed then u shud have no problems exept loadint the Gcos which for most people think that they dont really care

As long as they can play game wii normally

so from wot ur saying there i can update my wii and hav nothing stuff uo because i hav the chip alredy installed but my mate who is waiting to get his installed will hav this problem

and yes as long as this whole thing doesnt affect my game playing im not all that fussed
