Rules:
This is a state vs state challenge. You have to be honest about the state you live in. We can tell anyway because that's where your mii will be standing.

The teams will be as follows:
Other - Tas, NT, International
NSW/ACT
Qld
SA
Vic
WA

Optional fun:
Teams can choose a team name but it must include the state abbreviation in it.
Teams can also choose to race as the same character combo to be uniform.
Teams can also change their avatar for the duration of the tournament to something that has their team name.


Captains:
The role of the captain is very important. Choose your captain carefully. There should be a consensus on who the captain is.

. The captain gets the final say.
. The captain must have all of the friendcodes of their team, and the opposition they are racing for the week (they can delete opposition players after the race)
. The captain must organise a race day and time with their team.
. The captain must make sure each player who wants to play gets at least one race and does not exclude anybody. They should pick a time where most, if not all of their team can play. Each player should have an equal and fair amoung of game time.
. The captain must negotiate the final race day and time with the opposition captain.
. The captain must get the grand prix scores from all his/her players and post them on the forum after the race.

Hosting a grand prix:
Once the final day and time is organised, the captain of the team listed first will host the race.

If they have a shoddy Internet connection then the opposition captain will host.

The race must take place no more than 20 minutes after the agreed upon time. If people are late, bad luck.
If the host captain delays the race too long, it will be considered a forfiet.


Players:
No more than 6 players from a state can join a race.
If you have more than 6 on your team, the captain will need to decide who races when.


GP rules:
There are no rules for the grand prix. No holds barred. Everything goes. Drive forwards. Drive backwards. Nominate players to target the opposition. Do cartwheels. I don't care. However-

It can't be a team GP (because you might not end up on the same team as your teammates).
It can't be a battle.
You must have the full four races.
At least one player from each state must be present for the race to count.


Disconnects:
If the room disconnects then you must do it again.
If one player disconnects then both captains must agree on a re-race or the results stand.

A disconnect for a player is as if the player did not race at all.
(If there is 5 vs 3 and a player disconnects, then treat it as 5 v 2)

If it is 3 v 1 and the 1 disconnects, then a re-race must take place.

Forfiet:
A forfiet will occur if the race can not take place.
This may be because of disconnects, the captains cant agree on a time, or other reasons.

If the race is a forced forfiet (it simply can not take place) then it will be a scoreless draw.
If the race is an intentional forfiet (one state can't make it so the captain forfiets) then the other player will win and they will recieve their average points.


Results:
Each player must accurately record their total from the grand prix.
They then must pm their score to their captain.

Both captians must post the results on the forum for all to see. It could be something like~
Player 1 - 50
Player 2 - 12
Player 3 - 1
Total = 63


The final tally:
An equal amout of player points must be carried over.
If one team has five players and the other has two, then only the top two points count for both teams. ie~

SA 60
QLD 52
SA 45
SA 38
QLD 30
SA 15
SA 12

Take the top two:
SA 60 + 45
QLD 52 + 30

Total - SA 105 defeated QLD 82


At least one player from each state must finish the full four races or it counts as a draw.

Final Scoring:
Win - 3 pts
Draw - 1 pt
Loss - 0 pts

In the event of a tie on the ladder, the total best player score will be used.

Only the score of the highest player from each team (per race) will be counted as the score on the ladder. This means states with one player are at no disadvantage. It also means teams cant tactically field less players to limit an opposition's score.

It doesnt mean you only need to focus all your energy on getting one player to finish first because every point will be used to decide the winner.

QLD 3pts 50sc
SA 0pts 60sc


Finals:
The top two teams play in a best of two final
The team with the highest total score after two races wins.


To create an unbias draw, the following fixture was created randomly using an online fixture generator.

I think you'll run out of room if you have everyones friendcode, mii name and availability there. Mine are 2707-7076-6236, Cheery Dog, I'm available currently after 5:30 mon/tues, after 9 wed, after 1:30 thurs, all day fri/sat and sun is changing. I can't make the first race unless it's mon/tues or during the day thurs/fri.
Times are likely to change depending on what week it is and how much tafe work needs done.

Every player will need 2:
Their captain
Opposition Captain for the week (this can be deleted after the week's race)

Captains will need 11+:
6 for the opposition team (this can be deleted after the week's race)
5 for their own team that has been selected to play for the current week (although they may wish to just add and keep all their players)

However you are welcome to create a new license. If you wish to do so, make sure you act fast to unlock Daisy - your team's icon.


Messenger is a good idea if organising a date and time for your whole team proves difficult via pm or this thread.
