If an update Nintendo release happens to cause an unsupported addon to stop working, that's soley the problem of the person that installed the addon.
There's nothing stopping you installing these things, but it's not Nintendo's problem if it breaks.
As to whether Nintendo can force upgrades to your Wii, this is covered in the Wii Network Service Privacy Policy.

My Wii is exactly the same as the day I bought it.
It's not altered in any way.
Every game I have for it is an original (No burned, copied or pirated games).
Your farcical theory about no choice being a choice, if you want to play the games, makes even less sense then your use of a Latin phrase that has become little more then a tag for tossers to try and impress the ignorant with. Now unless your Latin reference was for buying Nintendo period then it really is pointless.

give me a break - i bought it from nintendo. i did not lease it from them. i don't pay for updates from them. they are not microsoft.
