Mario Strikers Charged Football. The second Strikers game, the first online Wii
game in Europe, and the most violent, "grown-up" Mario game ever (Note that the
game "only" has a 7+/E10+ rating, so don't worry). That should pretty much sum
up what this is (Err, plus the fact that it's football without rules. But you
should know that - if not, why the heck are you here?).
Anyway, this is my first FAQ/Walkthrough uploaded to the Internet - and about
my millionth created. You see, I tend to not finish any FAQs I start writing.
But. As you can see, that's not the case... in this... case. Eh. Or something.
So, excuse me for writing such a lousy intro. Now go what you are here for -
to find information and/or tips about this game.
- Fredk.

________
7th May/Yes, I started writing before I got the game. That's because I weas
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ bored (Waiting for the game to come out :P), and I wanted to get it up
ver. on the Internet quickly. So, no real info today, obviously, just made
0.0.1 the "skeleton" or whatever you would call it.
_________
22nd May/More waiting cause more updating. I've added lots of info from the
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ official webiste - The guide looks almost complete already!
ver.
0.0.2
_________
9th June/Had a long break here due to, well, MSCF, but I'm back and writin'. It
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ will be complete in a few days (And by days, I mean working days, and
ver. when it comes to working with this FAQ, you can never know).
0.0.3
__________
10th June/Submitted, but not finished. I'll probably work a lot more the next
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ day(s). I'd love to get tips from you (See section [cont]) on how to
ver. improve my FAQ.
0.1.1
__________
12th June/Made some slight improvements here and there, finished the Strikers
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ABC mode (I also corrected its name, which was previously 101, now
ver. ABC). Just so you know, I'm open for suggestions and contributions
0.1.2 until the Final version is done.
__________
13th June/Wrote 33.333333% of the Striker Challenges. Had quite a lazy day, so
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ that and some polishing was all I did today.
ver.
0.1.3
__________
21st June/Oops! I seem to be taking too many breaks here. All I've done today
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ is to add introductions and stats to the characters, and moved the
ver. lines apart for easier reading (It's not like I have limited space...
0.1.4 or do I...? Anyway, sorry for the laziness. I promise to continue the
challenges section soon.
By the way, have you found any spelling errors? If you spot many,
tell me. I'll fix them in the last update.

When putting together a team, you have to choose one captain, three sidekicks
and you'll have to have a Kritter as a goalie. You will also have to choose
the position for your sidekicks.
_______________
C L A S S E S /
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The characters all have different classes, but all characters that belong to
the same class have the same stats. Here they are:
Balanced
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
These characters are decent at everything, and are a good choice no matter
what. Their dekes are only small jumps, though. You can actually create a great
team with only balanced characters!
Characters: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Koopa, Shy Guy
Playmaker
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
These characters can run fast, and their passing is incredible. Their defense
and shooting is terrible, though, so you won't do well with only playmakers on
your team. They're mosly useful for quickly getting the ball white and
delivering it to a stronger player. Their dekes can be used to score a goal, by
jumping over (or teleporting in Boo's case) over the goalie.
Characters: Peach, Diddy Kong, Toad, Boo
Power
¯¯¯¯¯
For these characters, strength is everything. If you're looking for a character
that can send your opponents flying in one hit and deliver incredibly strong
hits, choose one of these. They are slow and bad at passing, though, so having
a team with only power characters is not a wise choice. Their dekes are
protective moves that will harm all who touch them. You should have at least
one of these or an offensive character on your team.
Characters: DK, Bowser, Petey, Birdo, Monty Mole
Defensive
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
I recommend that you have at least one defensive on your team at all times.
There are few of them, but they are insanely quick and can deliver huge hits.
Their shooting and passing isn't good at all, though, so they're mostly good
for, well, defending. Their dekes are teleporting moves - if you get the ball
white, you can teleport straight into the goal!
Characters: Waluigi, Daisy, Dry Bones
Offensive
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
These players are a mix of playmaker and power, making them a great choice.
Their skills are all about the ball - passing and shooting. Like the power
characters, their dekes involve harming others. These guys also jump when they
do it, though they can't jump over the goalies like the playmakers can. I
recommend at least one of these, or a power character, on your team!
Characters: Wario, Bowser Jr., Hammer Bro.
________________
C A P T A I N S/
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The only characters that can use the Mega Strike. The colour of your sidekicks
depends on which captain you choose.
Mario
¯¯¯¯¯
Hmm, does he even need an introduction? He's Super Mario, what more can I say!
Type: Balanced
Speed 6 Shooting 6 Passing 6 Defence 6
Super Ability: Super Mario! - Grows to an enormous size and can crush anybody.
Deke: Normal
Tactics: Super Mario! is an excellent tool for a Mega Strike chance, if you
manage to hit everybody.
Counter-tactics: If Mario uses his Super Ability, slide tackling the ball is
the only way to stop him. Also, when he does a Mega Strike, he
shrinks - that's your chance to knock him out!
Comments: Mario is one of the most used characters on Wi-Fi. And, well, he's
ok, you can always trust Mario if you want to get something done in
the game.
Peach
¯¯¯¯¯
Peach is of course back, and tougher than she seems (and acts like).
Type: Playmaker
Speed 10 Shooting 3 Passing 10 Defence 3
Super Ability: Freeze Frame! - All characters surrounding Peach get frozen for
some seconds.
Deke: Jump
Tactics: Jumping over the goalie is a good tactic. Also, the Freeze Frame! may
give you a chance for a Mega Strike.
Counter-tactics: If Peach has the Freeze Frame! in her inventory when she has
the ball, switch to a fast character and stay away from her.
When she uses it, run up to Peach and hit her.
Comments: Her Freeze Frame needs to be activated when lots of players are
around and no opponent is close enough to get Peach for some seconds,
or else it's useless. Also, when you use Freeze Frame!, immediately
start a Mega Strike - Peach's normal shots are useless.
DK
¯¯
What would a Mario sports game be without this big, strong dude? Better known
as Donkey Kong, DK is one of the three most powerful captains.
Type: Power
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 3 Defence 10
Super Ability: Thunder Wham! - Jumps up and slams the ground to knock away
anybody nearby.
Deke: Pounds his chest, knocking away players who touch him.
Tactics: If you get lucky with Thunder Wham!, you may get a Mega Strike chance.
Counter-tactics: See Peach's.
Comments: He's also very common on Wi-Fi, and he's ok to use. If you find the
right spot and time for Thunder Wham!, it could work well. He's an ok
choice.
Waluigi
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Waluigi's gone from offensive to defensive. And yes, he's still got the crotch
move. In case you were wondering.
Type: Defensive
Speed 10 Shooting 3 Passing 3 Defence 10
Super Ability: Wall-Luigi! - Creates a wall wherever he goes, which can be used
to trap others or defend himself.
Deke: Teleport
Tactics: You can teleport into the goal using the deke. Using his Wall-Luigi!,
you can close yourself up in a corner and perform a Mega Strike while
your opponents watch helplessly.
Counter-tactics: If he gets a Wall-Luigi! (it's not even rare at all), keep a
good eye out for Waluigi. If he tries to close himself up in a
corner, try your best to chase him into it and hit him at all
costs.
Comments: His Wall-Luigi! is so incredibly powerful if you use it right.
Waluigi is one of the best characters due to that. However, even
though he's defensive, he's always in the front, where he shouldn't
be.
Luigi
¯¯¯¯¯
Luigi's always so similar to Mario - look, I just lazily copied Mario's profile
here.
Type: Balanced
Speed 6 Shooting 6 Passing 6 Defence 6
Super Ability: Super Luigi! - Grows to an enormous size and can crush anybody.
Deke: Normal
Tactics: Super Luigi! is an excellent tool for a Mega Strike chance, if you
manage to hit everybody.
Counter-tactics: If Luigi uses his Super Ability, slide tackling the ball is
the only way to stop him. Also, when he does a Mega Strike, he
shrinks - that's your chance to knock him out!
Comments: He's the exact same as Mario, but for some reason not as popular on
Wi-Fi.
Wario
¯¯¯¯¯
The funny guy. He's been a lot into farting lately too, it seems.
Type: Offensive
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 10 Defence 3
Super Ability: Gas Mask! - Wario farts, messing up the controls of anybody
caught in the green gas. He has a lot of "fart power", and you
can save some for whenever you want.
Deke: Ground pounds
Tactics: If you manage to mess up everybody's controls, do a Mega Strike while
they're struggling.
Counter-tactics: You can actually control perfectly when you've been hit by the
fart - the controls are only reversed.
Comments: A surprise attack with the Gas Mask! can send foes running off in the
completely wrong direction for a while, so when it comes to doing
Mega Strikes, Wario is pretty good.
Bowser
¯¯¯¯¯¯
The only newcomer captain who's unlocked from the start. Hmm, Bowser likes to
change his size from game to game, doesn't he?
Type: Power
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 3 Defence 10
Super Ability: Fire Storm! - Breathes fire. Similair to Gas Mask!, Bowser has a
meter. It's a bit better, though, because when hit by the fire,
players will run around in panic. It also affects the keeper.
It's kind of harder to control, though.
Deke: Hides in his shell for a short time, damaging anybody who touches it.
Tactics: If you can't get the hang of burning other players, go for the goalie.
When burnt, he can only do rebounds, increasing your chance of
scoring.
Counter-tactics: Hit Bowser from behind before he can turn around and harm you
with fire.
Comments: His Fire Storm! is a bit slow, so it's not always that effective. If
you do get all nearby foes, though, you've just made yourself
invincible. Bowser is a pretty good choice.
Yoshi
¯¯¯¯¯
Big nosed, green something. I think it's strange that Yoshi's isn't fast like
in most other games.
Type: Balanced
Speed 6 Shooting 6 Passing 6 Defence 6
Super Ability: Egg Roll! - Rolls around in his egg, crushing anybody. Press B
to stop.
Deke: Normal
Tactics: If you manage to crush everybody, the Egg Roll does give you a chance.
Counter-tactics: You can run away from his Super Ability pretty easily.
Comments: Yoshi's big hit is a bit different, because when using his tounge, it
never puts him in any danger. Except from that, Yoshi is ok.
Daisy
¯¯¯¯¯
She seems to get more and more mad in every release. She also seems to change
play styles all the time (She's been technique, balanced, offensive and now
defensive... have I missed something?).
Type: Defensive
Speed 10 Shooting 3 Passing 3 Defence 10
Super Ability: Crystal Smash! - A lot of crystals pop up from the ground and
knock away nearby players.
Deke: Teleport
Tactics: See DK's.
Counter-tactics: See DK's.
Comments: Like Waluigi, Daisy is kind of in the wrong place. Her Super Ability
isn't as godly powerful as Waluigi's, so if you have the choice
between the two, go for the purple guy.
Bowser Jr.
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Junior, my least favourite of Bowser's eight kids. I don't need to explain, do
I...? Well, he's annoying here too. But at least he got rid of the bandana.
Type: Offensive
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 10 Defence 3
Super Ability: Sonic Roar! - Bowser Jr. roars, making a shockwaves move in a
straight path, which shrinks the enemies.
Deke: Ground pound
Tactics: None
Counter-tactics: If you get hit by the Sonic Roar!, don't worry, you can still
do anything, you're just small and slower.
Comments: His Super Ability is just... not good at all. Otherwise, he's an ok
character.
-- Jr. is unlocked by beating him in the Fire Cup --
Diddy Kong
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Hmm... what can I really say about him? Well, it's weird that he has his full
name displayed, while Donkey Kong is just called DK... That wasn't interesting,
was it?
Type: Playmaker
Speed 10 Shooting 3 Passing 10 Defence 3
Super Ability: Red Card! - A tractor beam steals some players and keeps them
away from the field for a long time.
Deke: Jump
Tactics: Jumping over the goalie, and using the Super Ability to get a good
Mega Strike chance.
Counter-tactics: Just keep an eye out for Diddy when he gets the Red Card!, and
avoid the tractor beam at all costs.
Comments: His Super Ability is probably the second best (Waluigi's being THE
best), and he's a very good captain. I've _never_ seen him used on
Wi-Fi before, only by myself.
-- Diddy is unlocked by beating him in the Crystal Cup --
Petey Piranha
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
And I thought he was done being in all Mario games. Oh well. He's actually
pretty cool. Do the limbo!
Type: Power
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 3 Defence 10
Super Ability: Mud Slinger! - Spits mud on the field, which anybody will walks
slowly in. He has a meter for how much of it he can use.
Deke: Rattles his head, harming anybody who touches him.
Tactics: His Mud Slinger! can be used for a Mega Strike chance...
Counter-tactics: ...But it's pretty easy to avoid as well.
Comments: His Mud Slinger! can knock away people as well. He's an ok choice...
and pretty cool otherwise as well.
-- Petey is unlocked by beating him in the Striker Cup --

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
While the sidekicks can't use the all-powerful Mega Strike, they still have
some special skills. Pick your sidekicks wisely and find a combination you
like!
Koopa Troopa
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Koopa's your average guy and good old Mario enemy. He seems a little too calm
for this type of sport...
Type: Balanced
Speed 6 Shooting 6 Passing 6 Defence 6
Skillshot: Shell Smash - Sends a huge metal Koopa shell at the goalie, stunning
him.
Deke: Normal
Tactics: If the ball happens to land in a teammate's hands (feet) after the
Shell Smash, fire away!
Counter-tactics: If Koopa uses his skillshot, run for the ball and get it away
from the goal as quickly as possible.
Comments: Probably the most rare character on Wi-Fi. But still, he's an ok
chocie that fits on any team. Shy Guy is probably the better of the
two balanced sidekicks, though.
Toad
¯¯¯¯
This mushroom person has always been fast, and he is this time as well (Now
he's acrobatic too!). Looks like Toad is the most armoured player, and he needs
it with that soft head of his...
Type: Playmaker
Speed 10 Shooting 3 Passing 10 Defence 3
Skillshot: Fire Meteor - Sends a burning ball at the goalie. If he's hit, he
can't catch the ball for a while, only make rebounds.
Deke: Jump
Tactics: Jumping over the goalie
Counter-tactics: If he uses the Fire Meteor, get the ball away immediately,
just to be safe. It's not that dangerous, though.
Comments: His Fire Meteor can mostly be stopped very easily. But he's
acceptable - his jumping deke makes up for it.
Dry Bones
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Do they really allow dead people to play this game? Dry Bones is one of the
cooles characters in my opinion... But how can a rotten skeleton be so strong?
Type: Defensive
Speed 10 Shooting 3 Passing 3 Defence 10
Skillshot: Shocker - Electrifies the ball, leaving the goal open. As if that
wasn't enough, the ball comes straight back to him and gives him a
good chance to score!
Deke: Teleport
Tactics: Try teleporting into the goal when the ball is white.
Counter-tactics: If he uses the Shocker, hit Dry Bones before the ball comes
back.
Comments: One of the most used characters on Wi-Fi. The Shocker is great, and
makes up for his terrible shooting because it has the speed and power
of an offensive/power character. That makes him a very good choice
for any team. He's also the only defensive character, so he is really
the one I recommend the most.
Boo
¯¯¯
No, you don't have to be alive OR have feet to play Strikers. Boo carries the
ball inside his body and... kind of spits it out. Or something.
Type: Playmaker
Speed 10 Shooting 3 Passing 10 Defence 3
Skillshot: ??? - Becomes invisible and flies through the goalie, then shoots
the ball. Completely useless unless you're really close.
Deke: Quick teleport, leaves Boo unable to use it again for some seconds
Tactics: Teleporting through the goalie - you'll have to time it very well,
though. Try hitting B as soon as you emerge from behind Kritter.
Counter-tactics: None
Comments: His deke is bad because he has to charge, and his Skillshot rarely
works at all. Boo isn't that good at all, really.
Birdo
¯¯¯¯¯
Don't even get me started on the whole male/female thing. If you don't know
what I'm talking about, it's best that way. Trust me. Well, Birdo's pretty
strong for a character that usually is a quick type in games.
Type: Power
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 3 Defence 10
Skillshot: Extreme Egg - Birdo fires an unstoppable egg at the goal, knocking
down the goalie and going into the goal - an instant goal, in other
words! It can be stopped by standing in front of it, though.
Deke: Spins around, knocking down anybody nearby.
Tactics: Spinning around can knock down others, giving you a good chance for a
shot.
Counter-tactics: As I've said, you can stand in front of the Extreme Egg to
stop it.
Comments: If you have nobody to stand in front of Birdo, all hope is lost.
Birdo is a good choice, I recommend her (him?) on your team. Her
(his?) deke is pretty good too.
Hammer Bros.
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A Koopa-like character that also resembles a bird. Kinda. He's very fond of
hammers - he even goes around hitting opponents with them... Is that even
legal?
Type: Offensive
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 10 Defence 3
Skillshot: Jumps up in the air, throws hammers, then shoots the ball. Instant
goal every time, if you're close enough.
Deke: Slams a hammer into the ground, stunning anybody it hits
Tactics: Using his deke followed by a skillshot is guaranteed goal if you
manage to do it.
Counter-tactics: Said tactic is hated more than Hitler, though, and chances are
high that people who use it will either be victims of a
disconnection, or be beaten by far (most people practice
countering this tactic, and are good at it). To counter it,
stand around and wait near Hammer Bro., preferably with a
hard-hitting character (Dry Bones is ideal here). The instant
before he lands, do a big hit, and you should hit him between
the dekes. Also, you can just wait around for him to stop
deking or trying to shoot.
Comments: I've basically said everything about him. He's very overused and
hated, but if you use him properly and fight like a man, he's great
for your team.
Monty Mole
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A really, really, _really_ fat mole that has been in almost as many spin-offs
as real games. Hmm... what more? Nope, nothing else.
Type: Power
Speed 3 Shooting 10 Passing 3 Defence 10
Skillshot: Dirt Drill - He digs a tunnel towards the goal, then pops up and
shoots. It's a bit like Boo's, but better because he can knock out
the goalie if he's at the right distance, giving him a much better
chance at scoring.
Deke: Burrows underground and pops up again, knocking down whoever he hits
Tactics: None
Counter-tactics: None
Comments: Monty's deke is pretty good, but except from that... he's just
basically an ok choice. Birdo is a little bit better, though.
Shy Guy
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
He's a shy guy. I didn't notice until recently, but man, _look_ at those feet
go! He walks like crazy. I love this shy guy.
Type: Balanced
Speed 6 Shooting 6 Passing 6 Defence 6
Skillshot: Bullet Bill Blast - A Bullet Bill pops up from nowhere, taking Shy
Guy on a ride towards the goal. If he hits someone before the Bullet
Bill starts properly, he'll explode at that spot, but if he starts
properly, nothing can stop him on his way. When he hits the goalie,
he knocks out everyone nearby, including himself. However, he gets
up quicker than the others, so he has a good chance at scoring a
goal.
Deke: Normal
Tactics: After his Skillshot has been use, either wait for Shy Guy to wake up,
then shoot, or get another character who didn't faint to do it.
Counter-tactics: If he starts his Skillshots, pick a quick character, run for
cover, then come back when everyone's dazed and run off with
the ball as quickly as possible.
Comments: One of my favourites, this guy fits in any team, and is a bit better
than Koopa.

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The goalkeeper - also known as goalie (I'm sure I've also called him keeper a
couple of times in this FAQ, I hope you won't get confused) - is really
important. If you had no goalie, your opponent would probably score close to
50 goals without any problem at all.
Kritter
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
He's the only possible goalie. You can't choose. Kritter is one of the bad guys
in Donkey Kong Country - the Kremlings. He's a crocodile (or something closely
related to that) who's not exactly afraid to do some damage on the field.
Kritter can actually roundhouse kick a player half across the field if he feels
like it, pull Monty Mole straight up from the ground and throw him into the
fence. Yeah, he's a strong guy who even has to go through hand-burning,
electrifying, hammer throws and much more. Every. Single. Match. Kritter is
also invincible to normal items and enemy attacks. Awesome!

[stad] Stadiums
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This game contains the seven, old, underwhelming stadiums from the previous
game, plus ten new stadiums with all-new special features in all of them.
That's what I'm talking about!
________________________
N E W S T A D I U M S/
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The Vice
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Ok, so I was lying. Not all new stadiums have special features - this one is
almost like the Palace from Mario Smash Football, the only difference being
that the ground is cracked.
Thunder Island
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A tiny, mountain-ish island in the middle of the ocean. Watch out, because
there is no electric fence to "protect" you, so if you go too far you'll fall
off, and will have to wait a while to get back. Also, the wind is blowing
incredibly much, and stuff like Cheep Cheeps and huge cows will be blown across
the island, knocking off anybody it hits. This may give you a good Mega Strike
chance! Due to the wind, the ball will also be moved around on its own when
nobody has it.
The Sand Tomb
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A sandy place in the middle of, well, a desert. You need to think strategically
here, because there are two 'routes' you can take. In the middle of the field,
the ground is hard and solid, and you can run fast. However, over that part of
the stadium, there are a lot of Thwomps that will try to crush you. If you take
the safe route in the sand, though, no Thwomps will harm you, but you'll run
slowly. This is definitely the most dangerous stadium. Watch out!
The Classroom
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Another stadium without any hazards. This one is inside a white, extremly tall
building of sorts. Looks pretty nice, actually! There's no audience here. It's
used for practicing in Strikers ABC.
The Lava Pit
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This stadium is, obviously, in the middle of a huge lava pit. The entire
stadium is rocky. Sometimes, a huge fireball - sometimes even several of them -
will land on the ground, creating a big, hot circle of fire. Anybody who runs
into the fire gets hurt, and if the ball touches it, it'll bounce away. Avoid
them at all costs!
-- Win the Fire Cup to unlock for Domination Mode --
The Wastelands
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This stadium is really slippery - in fact, the ground is made of ice! Movement
here can be tricky, so watch where you're going. In addition, lightning will
sometimes strike. It will strike random places twice as a warning, then on the
third strike it will hit the ball. When you see the "warning" strikes, just
leave the ball alone to avoid injuries, and your opponent may even be stupid
enough to take it and get struck by the lighting.
-- Earn the Brick Wall and the Golden Foot Awards in the Fire Cup to unlock for
Domination Mode--
Crystal Canyon
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A normal stadium in the middle of a canyon, surrounded by huge crystals. At the
start of the match, one or two of the players on each team will be zapped away!
That leaves you with few players, making the game challenging. However, this
also means that there are fewer opponents, and therefore it may be easier to
get a scoring chance. After every goal, all players will be back, but one or
two players on each team will also be zapped again.

The Dump
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A rainy field where something brown (You have to use your imagination here,
there's no description of what it actually is) is running down towards the
middle of the field. I guess the hazard here is that everything gets dragged
that way, but you won't notice it at all, so this place isn't really dangerous
at all.

Stormship Stadium
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A stadium on a flying ship (or something). This stadium will tilt in the
direction wherever the most players are. Also, lightning will strike in the
middle sometimes, and will travel down a few of the paths on the field. You
should avoid the middle as well as those paths at all costs, even when there's
no lighting there, because it strikes pretty often, and you're very likely to
get hit.

Galactic Stadium
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
As far as I can see, there are no hazards here either, on this stadium in the
middle of space.

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Bowser's blue stadium flying around at an extremly high speed. In space.
The Battle Dome
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
A metallic stadium, located in Bowser's Castle (According to Mario Smash
Football).
Konga Coliseum
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This stadium actually is wooden. It's located somewhere in the jungle.
Crater Field
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This big crater on Yoshi's Island is used as a grassy stadium.
The Palace
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The very first stadium of Mario Smash Football, looking a bit like a palace.
Pipeline Central
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
According to the game's website, this was built for Mario and Luigi and is
located in the sky.
The Underground
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Also according to said website, this stadium was built by Wario and Waluigi.
This one actually doesn't look like the classic one at all, being kind of
grassy instead of metallic, and having a lot of red in it as well.

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items - they give you huge goal opportunities. They can be gained by getting an
innocent player hit (by innocent, I mean not carrying the ball) or by sending
a well charged ball towards the goal. Use them by pressing C, and shake the
nunchuck to switch between the two you can carry at a time.
Bananas
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Basically, that's what they are. Or, well, banana peels. They come in bunches
of five, three and even one. As you may have figured out, they make people
slip and fall. They've shrunk since Mario Smash Football, and will now be
placed in a random direction, making them even more useless (And getting one
single banana is just an insult).
Green Shells
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
These will be fired in one direction and bounce of walls. They aren't very
effective at long range, but if you can get close to someone, you can fire
those at them, giving you a chance for a good charged shot. They break when
they hit players. Green Shells come in giant versions, which won't break when
they hit someone.
Red Shells
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
They will track down and follow random nearby players, knocking them down like
Green Shells. They can be a bit random at times, though, becuase they may as
well hit your teammates. Their huge counterparts are to the small Red Sheels,
what the Giant Green Shells are to the small Green Shells.
Blue Shells
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Those are worth their weight in gold, because they freeze the players they hit
for a pretty long time, giving you a huge chance for a Skillshot, a Mega Strike
or at least a fully charged shot. These also have huge counterparts, and
they're no different from the other huge ones.
Spiny Shells
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
These are basically Green Shells, but they won't break very easily at all. Very
good if you want to cause some random chaos. I don't need to explain the giant
version, do I...?
Bob-ombs
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Unlike in Smash Football, they won't be thrown from your character, but they
will fall in a line from the sky, get stuck in the ground, then explode. They
won't land directly at the player who has the ball, but will usually land next
to him (or another player, sometimes), making them a little less powerful. They
come in giant size as well, which causes a bigger explosion.
Mushroom
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This makes you grow slightly in size (which makes no difference), and you'll
become faster. The most common item, which is pretty useless unless you've just
got to chase someone.
Star
¯¯¯¯
This one makes you invincible for a short time. If you use it strategically, it
can lead to some guaranteed goals. For example, you can start a Mega Strike,
then activate the star when someone comes close to you. It's almost like a free
Mega Strike!
Chain Chomp
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This one is so awesome, sadly you will rarely get it unless you're being
absolutely destroyed. It drops down on the field, runs around and attacks all
players on the opposing team (It won't go around friendly players, though). If
your opponent gets one, all you can do is pray.
Super Abilities
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Well, these come in item forms. They're the captains', well, super powerful
abilities. You can read more about them in the Characters [char] section.
Basically, they look like the face of your captain.

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
I thought I'd put this before all the other modes, because it teaches you how
to play the game. If you prefer text over visual demonstration, read this (and
stop playing games if the above matches your personality.).
1/10 Bowser: The Basics!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
All you need to do here is to score a goal. You are Bowser with one Dry Bones,
one Toad and one Hammer Bro. There are no opponents, so just fire away! Still,
Mario's goalie is there and you have 1 minute, so you don't have that much
time to fool around. You don't have access to special skills either.
2/10 Mario: Charging the Ball!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Your goal here is to score one goal by charging up the ball. You are Mario, you
have one Toad, one Hammer Bro. and one Koopa. To charge up the ball, you can
hold B (followed by releasing it to shoot, or A to pass immediately), pass the
ball, or press Z to chip it ahead to charge the ball. When the ball is charged,
try giving it to Hammer Bro. for a powerful shot. The time here is 1 minute
too, and there are no special skills for you to use. The oppposing team is
Luigi's, but only the goalie is there.
3/10 Kritter: Making Mega Saves!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This one is a little different. With no players, Mario's team is helpless!
Luckily, Kritter the goalie is still there to protect you from DK's Mega
Strikes. Also, you start with 12 goals, so as long as you can keep DK from
scoring too much using Mega Strikes, the victory is yours. He also only has 20
seconds to do it.
So, how do you do this? Simple! When a Mega Strike is launched, a minigame will
start. You have to aim your Wii Remote at the screen using the glove-pointer to
defend yourself. When you spot an incoming ball, aim for it, then when your
hands are covering it properly up, press A to destroy it.
DK won't go all that hard on you, even though he can get some occasional good
Mega Strikes. You'll probably do fine anyway. Excpect to see some far meaner
attacks later on.
4/10 Mario: The Mega Strike!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Now, it's time to use the Mega Strike. To use it, hold B until a meter appears.
Now, press B to select a number of balls. The longer you let the needle go to
the left, the more balls (up to six!) you will launch. If you go to far,
though, you'll end up with 3. After that, press B as the needle is in the
colour regions. If you hit the grey, your Mega Strike will be slow and easy to
stop. Green Mega Strikes are pretty hard to stop, and orange Mega Strikes are
_really_ hard to stop.
In this match, Mario is behind Bowser by 12 goals! Use as many Mega Strikes as
you can to win - you've got only 20 seconds! It won't be hard without
opponents, though.
5/10 Hammer Bros.: Sidekick Skillshots!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Now, you'll learn to use Skillshots. They're simple as well - get the ball, and
hold B until the Skillshot activates.
This one is Hammer Bros'. Skillshot, where he throws a bunch of hammers at the
goalie. If you want a guaranteed goal, just stay pretty close to Kritter, and
use your skill. Again, there are no enemies, so you won't have any problem
getting the three goals you need.
6/10 Boo: Skillshots Part Two!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This time you're Boo, and you're fighting against one Monty Mole. The goal is
to score three times using Boo's Skillshots. For this Skillshot, you need to be
at a very spesific range, so it's a little different from the Hammer Bros'.
Skillshot. If Monty gets the ball, tackle him of use a big hit. He's pretty
lazy though, so it should be fine.
7/10 Mario: Super Mario Time!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Now, let's look at the Super Abilities. You're Mario, playing against Luigi.
You'll constantly gain the Super Ability item, which activates Super Mario!,
Mario's Super Ability. Use it to get the ball for Luigi and score three goals
to win. If you want to be cheap, you can combine it with Mega Strike when
Luigi, the only opposing player, is dazed! Use it with C, by the way!
8/10 DK: Bringing the Thunder!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Another Super Ability lesson. You're DK (In pink because you're against Wario,
whose colour is yellow. Stylish!) with two Toads on your team. Wario has only
himself (and, of course, Kritter). As DK, use his Thunder Wham! to clear space,
then attack with a Mega Strike or a charged shot. You can also use your Toads
and thier Skillshots, by the way!
9/10 Mario: Using Power Ups!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This one teaches you how to use Power Ups, or items as I call them. Press C to
use them, and to gain them, you must release a well charged shot or get hit
when you don't have the ball. Use them to your advantage against Bowser and his
full (But not challenging) team. You have a Toad, a Dry Bones and a Hammer Bro.
on your team, so use all you've learned in combination with items to win the
match.
10/10 Mario: Winning the Match!
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
It's you and your sidekicks in a fair match with Bowser and his sidekicks. It's
a normal match - use your skills and win!
Have you cleared all lessons? Good work, now go for the real game!

Looking for some bone-crushing hard stuff that punches you in the face and
yells "You suck at this game!" in your face every single time you lose until
you win at your 40th attemt (Not completely literally)? Look no further, the
last part of these 12 challenges will keep you busy for a while!
1/12 Mario: Till Sudden Death Do Us Part! (Novice)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
You are Mario, you have a Monty Mole, a Toad and a Boo on your team. The
opposing team is DK with a Toad, a Birdo and a Hammer Bro. The objective is to
win in Sudden Death (which has already started), by scoring a single goal. DK
is dumb as a log on the novice level, so this should be a breeze no matter
what. If you can't do it, all you need to do is to practice some techniques.
2/12 Luigi: Sibling Rivalry! (Novice)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Things are looking bad for Luigi. As Luigi, you have two Koopas on your team,
but the last team member is missing! Mario, on the other hand, has a full team
with a Dry Bones, a Toad and a Monty Mole. You're also down by two goals,
meaning you must score at least three goals to win - and that's not counting
any possible goals Mario may get. Fortunately, Mario is no smarter than DK was
in the previous challenge, so if you can press in a Skillshot or a MegaStrike
(or even a normal shot, all your characters are decent at shooting) here and
there, you should do fine.
3/12 DK: This Monkey Shines! (Professional)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
You're DK with two Toads and a Boo, against Petey and his team in the Stormship
Stadium. You're three goals behind, so you have to score a minimum of four! Not
only that, but with one power captain and three playmakers, your team is pretty
unblalanced. I suggest that you use the Sidekicks to pass the ball around until
it's white, then give it to DK and try a shot. If that doesn't work, you don't
really have any good Skillshots to use, but if all hope is lost, try jumping
over the goalie with Toad - that will earn you some goals!
4/12 Peach: Battle for the Crown! (Professional)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
You are Peach with a Boo, a Koopa and a Shy Guy. You're playing against Daisy.
In this match, you have to beat Daisy by a whopping five goals - you actually
have to score five goals MORE than her! There's no doubt you need to use at
least one MegaStrike here - so be on the lookout for a Freeze Frame! You can
also rely a bit on Shy Guy and Koopa's Skillshots. At least you have a well
balanced team. The difficulty has ramped up quite a bit, so you'll probably
need some retries!
