Well it kinda all depends on what tactics you will be doing.
I use Mario aswell
I recomend 2 Dry Bones and a hammerbro.
Try that then if you dont like it then check out some of the Strikers disscusion threads.
they help heaps

The first mario strikers is EASY compared to this one. The controls for the new game are much more in-depth and at first very intimidating. You will need to familarise yourself with the controls & character abilities. It takes time to master it but once u do, it is rewarding. If you are unsure, give this a rent before buying. But everyone who i have spoken to who have played this game thinks its awesome! This is my favourite game on the wii now along-side zelda...yet 2 different genres. This is not for the casual gamer as the controls are 2 complex.

I've actually done that quite a few times by accident.

I accidentally take a shot greater than half way, and it just lobbed it up, I hit my shoot button, had a player there amazingly, did a bicycle kick and scored. Happiest moment of my life.

I liked the first mario strikers. And playing this one is so much more intense. In the first one u always had 2 b worried about only the captains power shots but now every player is equally damaging with their special shots apart from the mega strikes. Strategy has increased so its no longa simply tackle and shoot. Being the goal keeper is great fun as it brings a new level into the game. Its such a great game. Havent played online yet as my internet speed is capped for the rest of the month. Next month il hav my friend code and challenge u all. DAISY d DEFENSIVE BRICK WALL! Italy won the world cup wif a defensive side..and im italian so go figure! its ONLINE it kinda explains y u shud buy it
