i don't think blu ray is the better media at all, the pic quality on HD is way better

there is nothing wrong with regular dvd's, its ust that HD-DVD and Blu Ray are better

Hm, maybe if I actually compared them I could tell the difference. I just thought movies and tv was 'clear' enough as it is.

Yes yes. I hang my head in shame for trying to support HD-DVD. It has become clear over the past 6 months that most retailers stock more Blu-Ray discs than HD-DVD.

It still bothers me the fact that some movies come out for one format and some for the other. Doesn't that annoy those of you here who own these drives?

the difference is actually pretty good, i was looking at gladiator on tv last night switching it between HD and SD and the difference was outstanding

Yes it does actually bother me because there are certain DVDs i want in HD but aren't in blu-ray format since they only have them in HD DVD format.

I know of "Knocked Up" being the recent one. Hmm, maybe i'll get a PS3 and also buy the HD-DVD drive for my 360. Then i'll be sweet on both sides

I wanted Transformers but unfortunately HD DVD got to it first i had to get the normal DVD version of it instead. The resolution for it almost blinded me X_X

lg already do.
i read that the new macs can also handle both just a firmware fix needs to be released when they see a winner.
