yeah they are worth getting, the ps3 is suppose to one of the best blu ray players on the market

Anyway, I run the PS3 on 720p through component cables at the moment(HDMI to DVI is being put in this arvo) and the picture looks good. Even though I've got an SD display blue ray movies still look a lot crisper than regular dvds. Go figure, I was happy as I got a slight improvement and couldn't fathom how full HD would look that much better especially from a decent viewing distance.

THEN....today I'm in Harvey Norman and watched a bit of Spiderman 3 on a full HD sony TV...whoa....I've been kidding myself. I want, nay need a full HD TV now, there is no question left in my mind. Its to the point where I'd wait for movies to come out on Blue ray instead of going to the cinema.

adza said: I read an article in ther Herald Sun a few months ago that said the battle was pretty much finished in Blue-Ray's favour, then the American "Adult Film Industry" went with HD DVD cos Sony won't let them use Blu-Ray. The "Adult Film Industry" in the states is bigger than the regular motion picture industry (yes they are all perverts)!
So this will keep the battle going a bit longer...

I have already over 100 DVD's and i'm not ready to move to HD or Blueray.
What's the point? Doesn't it just make the picture a little bit better or so. I know i might sound a bit ignorant but to me. As long as i can see the picture clear unlike VHS lol Then i'm a happy guy.
