Yesterday I bought the HDMI cable and the HDMI to DVI adapter, got home a realised that the adapter was not the correct one I needed. It had both male connectiosn for the HDMI and DVI....DOH! So, I'm returning the HDMI cable today ($60) and will purchase a DVI cable as I've plugged the HDMI to DVI connector straight into the PS3 leaving a male connection for the DVI cable to the TV.

I've heard your TV needs to have some sort of compatibility, forgot exactly what though, for it to work. Jump on myps3.com and have a search, you'll find the answers there. I hope mine works.

I've got a mate who is a squillionaire who is moving overseas in 2 months who is going to flog off his full HD Sony screen to me for $500 which he bought only about 6 months ago. Yay for me.
