So I picked mine up @ JB just then and they price matched Big W @ $118. Spent an hour on it and realised how unfit I am, even though the results showed I'm 'no stranger to exercise'. Loving it so far and my apparent BMI is actually a year younger (24 har har), except the following -

a) the white board getting dirty very quickly, may invest in the protector on ebay or something alike

b) the soccer headbutt....gosh that thing's quite inaccurate to the point where I have to step on one foot and lift the other, though I'll give that another go later and reserve judgement

What's your thoughts?

My Wii Age was 25 so that was nice, knocked off several years LOL

Yeah the Soccer headbutt I did well with for the first 15 balls then it was all downhill. Skiiing was a lot harder than I thought it would be too LOL

I actually worked up a light sweat with the jogging and the Muscle strengthening exercises.

It says my centre of gravity is "almost" perfect and it says my balance is really good which did surprise me as I think my posture is pretty awful.

True there's a few Fit threads, though no general discussion ones so hopefully this will unify chats together now unelss the mods decide otherwise.

Have to agree - everyone tells me I need to stand up straight, while WiiFit loves me

That yoga 'tree' exercise was quite nasty - my advice is don't try it with boardies on - FAIL haha

Nah its completely valid to question -

My reasons were -

1) It was a birthday gift from sister & friend
2) My 'last stance' with the Wii to breathe life into it as I've spent most of my time on the PS3 due to more epic titles
3) See if the exercise component really does follow through on its trash talk advertising, and so far it's working for me especially due to my indoor lifestyle as of late. I actually got rid of Mario Party 8 as it was rarely used...actually, never used at all, though this title does look alot more entertaining to watch and participate in, and it gets people off their asses. I'm actually having fun and breaking a sweat. Your results may vary.

I got it this morning as well...
I did a test and the first time it came back that my wii fit age was 35, did another got 30 then another and got 21... *I'm 22* So I'm pretty happy about that... I did work up a bit of a sweat on it as well.. which was amazing?! lol

Woohoo can't wait to finish work and go home and have a play of it (3hrs and counting). I'm not overweight but I have a feeling that it will tell me i'm unfit anyway.

I got it around 9.30am from K Mart for $119, and had a bit of a go and enjoying it. The balance games are a good laugh and jogging was a crazy experience. Damm that yoga sorted me out, I cant bend for ****! I clicked on the pic of the moving Wii board and tried "the ultimate balance test". I cant get level 3 done yet, the board is so sensitive.

Actually, I like that idea of supporting 'mum and pop' stores in which you have good relations with - I did that with importing guitars for a while, though have yet to find a local game store with such attributes. Good on ya!

ice2kt - no sweat Big W have it for $118 and JB for $119, not to mention you can get just about any other store to pricematch anyway.

Amen to that I love supporting local businesses IF they offer me something worth supporting. I've only been shopping there for three weeks, but now I've started talking to the sales guy and gal and they are coming out for drinks on Friday so we get along good, they also give me discount and i don't even need to ask

Love the soccer ball balance also the ski jump where you have to crouch down and you have to stand up quickly to get a good distance on the jump. I also found out that I cant do push ups.. Also I have a fitness of a 42 year old and I am 28

Oh my gosh, no kidding - I couldnt do pushups for peanuts either >< it feels like the hands arent far apart enough on the board, but even so the pain of unfitness really sux!

is it worth getting it? it seems very popular but then to me it's kind of the game where you play few times and get bored with it...

Just got mine! I walked into Big W and grabbed a copy for $118. Now I just have to get myself home, install some blinds in the kitchen, feed/bath and put my bubby to bed, have something to eat myself... and then I can try it out!
