NYKO Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack for the Wii Balance Board

Where does that thing sit? It looks like it sits underneath and would create a see-saw effect!

Ahhh good old Nyko.

It weighs a fair bit. If you check out ebay and see their postage prices thats how much it would roughly cost

Me or the previous post before that?

I think he meant sample.

I gave up on the Dstore delivery, I'll sell the WiiFit privately if and when I get it. Now there are more pi$$ed off people with the delivery date maybe my Dstore comments will be thought to be slightly more valid.

Anyway my kid has put her Mii on the WiiFit, she's 8 and her Mii is a little skinny thing like she is, that 10 year old who got told she was overweight by the WiiFit must have been a porker or something. My Mii's figure looks the same as me which is kinda scary (how does it know) lol

I finally made it across that bloody tightrope and over the bear trap LOL it unlocked "Advanced" which I didn't investigate (more bear traps?)

I also "unlocked" a new stamp for the calendar, I have a Footprint and an OK stamp now.

I like the yoga, so does my kid. That pushup one I did 4 reps and nearly died... I knew that I would suck at push ups... I have zero upper body strength!

Well your comments and experience are always valid - I do think you were too hard on dstore expecting them to deliver first thing thursday morning. Once Australia Post has it - it's also hard for them to be 100% responsible for delivery times.

Now...a day later, gathering various bits of information - it appears it's not been entirely in the Australia Post system during this period. I know (now) my consignment details were not real. This is another issue altogether.

Thats what I talked about on my earlier posts on here. The lady complaining about the 10 year old was overreacting. She didnt know that the BMI isnt accurate for kids. I mean sure you can use it but it wont probebly as accurate as it should. The girl was apparently active and healthy, but she was solid. The Wii Fit Board was right, I inputted her details into a google BMI chart for female kids, and she's in the 85th percentile (the lady claimed it was 82nd). The 85th percentile means you're close to overweight, or beginning to be. She was going to write a note to Nintendo, hopefully it won't work because it happens everywhere. People dont like being told their fat, then don't get a fitness game kinda thing. You know what

Im using the female one. She is more atheistically pleasing.

About that 10 year old kid too..... I looked at the thread and posted on it but it seems to be avoided, I posted several times. Probebly because I know alot about fitness and they don't wanna hear that they're wrong.

What annoys me is that other parents were going on that thread saying "Oh, I was so happy about the game origianlly but now since this has happened a child, wii fit calling her fat, I don't think that would be appropriate for my child. I don't think I should get it now" What a load of whoo-ee....

That's what I was saying. It is accurate but probebly not as accurate as the adults one. If anyones child is active and healthy but doesnt have a solid build or muscles like a body builder then yes they will have a pretty good BMI. But if the child is solid or got muscles... then they will not have their BMI calculated correctly. If you look at your child and they look thin, then they might have underweight-ideal BMI. if they look solid it could be overweight. If they are round then they could be overweight-to-obese. It's a general rule of thumb really. Like when you go downtown and you see people walking down the street when we classify them as big, or thin. So even though your child may not be fat, but they have a solid build.. it can't differenciate. Because BMI does not calculate fat, body fat calipers do that.

I think if you research it you would find people react better to a female trainer. Easier on the eyes and ears, better able to demand attention. In real life i mean, im sure the game has the same ideas. Im annoyed they didnt localise the accents though.

I know! I thought that hey! Usually games are made in American English first and then ported over to the other countries. We're used to that kind of English. But since they made English first in Europe, we get that accent. If it was made here first we'd have Australian accented people. Would would be quite funny to the people over at the states.

So for all of you that have it already do you put the Balance Board on carpet or hardwood floor? My Wii is in my room which is carpeted & I didn't want that to effect the gameplay.

If the carpet is very thick/fluffy you have to use the foot extenders that come with the board. Otherwise it doesn't affect the game play

Yep carpet. I doubt any surface would really affect it unless its uneven.

sweet as, just received and installed the silicon skin for the board - fits well as it tucks/secures into each of the screw cavities underneath the board.

Well dStore have now offered to refund the money onto my credit card if/when the Wii Fit turns up and I send it back to them. Not sure whats the best outcome, wait for it and mail it to my nephew or wait for it and mail it back to dstore....at my expense!!
