Wii has been out for over a year now. Yet, the console is still so hard to find in stores. I just can't understand this. Personally, I think Nintendo are doing this on purpose to create a mindset in the community that it's in high demand (which it is, now, thanks to the shortage).
I've wanted a Wii since December. I refuse to import, get one off ebay etc etc. I want to be able to walk into JB Hi Fi and buy one. I don't want to order it and wait. I want to be able to walk into a store and buy one that day, like i should be able too do.
I know some of you are probably going to flame and tell me to just order and be patient, but I shouldn't have too. First, Nintendo were totally non existent last generation in Australia. And that really frustrated me because I was an avid GC gamer. Now, they have one of the highest selling consoles and they make it seem like it's the must-have console and personally (and this is my professional opinion), I don't think it is.
This is not a trolling thread or anything, as I really, really want a Wii (I need to get my No More Heroes stuff on, and I'm craving a playthrough of RE4 with the Wii-mote), but I'm losing patience. If by the time I get back from London and Japan at the end of May, Wii's are not instore, I'm going to refuse to buy one...EVER. It'll have been 1.5 years since it's released, and I still won't be able to get one in a store.
