What's the attraction of this waste of bandwidth? I still have my grey first-generation PSone, and while I don't play it anymore, I'm keeping it in working condition anyway. For old times' sake.

Because you can pick up a PS1 from any second hand store for around $30 now. Also, smashing things is the ultimate thrill....when you're 12 years old.

Personally, I'm a bit of a pyromaniac. So I'd much rather put an old treasured console under an open flame and watch all the plastic bubble into a little grey puddle of win. Then I'd nail my abomination on my wall and shed a tear every time I look at it.

this was pretty lame. there's some sites out there where guys go to massive shopping centres on release days for consoles, get the systems and just smash them in front of diehard fans. my favourite is www.smashmyps3.com . watch the extended version
