Animal Crossing: City Folk - 8/10
Have you ever wanted to live your own carefree life? Then this is your game. Animal crossing: City Folk is nothing totally new and intersting, but its worth a look if you liked the DS or GC versions of the game. There is one problem though. There is very little that has changed in this game ever since the DS edition, thus you will feel a serious case of Deja vu. That's not to say that this game is bad, in fact i love this game.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay for this game has virtually stayed the same as the last 3 games, (Animal Forest for the 64, Animal Crossing for the GC, and Animal crossing: Wild World) you live your life day to day doing whatever you want to do, Fishing, Bug-catching, Fossil searching, etc. However this time around, there is a city. I was quite dissaopointed by the city, exepcting a little more shops and things to do. But instead I got a place where all of the people that came by suprise (almost all =P) have now made shops in the city. This, in MY opinion ruins the fun of finding out that redd's in town, or that Dr. Shrunk is in town. Now you just take the bus and there ya have it. Disptie all of the bad things, the good things overweight the bad. Overall, I give the gameplay a 8.5/10
GRAPHICS
*sighs* I know that I HAVE to do this so here goes nothing...
The Graphics in this game can easily be compared to the N64 version of the game, and there would be little to no diffrence at all. The edge's have been smoothed (a little) and the colors are a bit sharper then before, but the genral way the game looks is overall mediocre. I mean just look at some of the Wii's finer games such as Super Samsh Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. THEY LOOK FANTASTIC!!! But this game just didn't get that same care I geuss. Overall I give this games graphics a 5/10.
SOUND
I'm just going to go over this one quick. The sounds very calm and relaxing, but as soon as the game starts, you hear the same music you remember from Wild World. Really thats all I have to say about this game's sounds. Overall I give this game's Sound a 8/10
REPLAY VALUE
Ok, because this is my first review im going to have to go over this one. The way I will be doing this from now on is the way Game informer does it. Its either High, Moderatly High, Moderate, Moderatly low, and low. I give this game High replay value.
OVERVIEW
This is a game I think no Wii owner should go without having; despite some major and minor faults, I give this game a total of an 8/10. (not an average) I sure hope you liked it and please do remember that this is my first review. PLEASE COMMENT! TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!
