Just a video to start you all off
It all started with the SNES
Super Mario Kart. Then
Mario Kart 64 for the nintendo 64. For the GBA came
Mario Kart Advance.
Mario Kart Double dash hit the Gamecube and lastly
Mario Kart DS for the Nintendo DS. Now...get ready...get set...GO! Get ready because
Mario Kart Wii is out now!!! Like previous games the point is to race! This can require skill but not so much speed. The good thing about this game is that they have not made it like a real racing games like Dirt for the PS3 and Xbox 360. This game is also about having lots of fun which nintendo has done. When you start the game you need to create a licence for yourself. This is like your profile. It showes your Mii and has little squares in it. This shows what you have got in a cup. If you got silver for 50cc on flower cup it was show a silver box for that cup. It also showes your highscores. You can play 1 player as normal, 2,3 or 4 players and now for the first time you can play Wi-Fi!!! I will tell you about all this muliplayer stuff later. When you press 1 player your can play the grand Prix, Time trial, VS and battle. First off lets talk about the Grand Prix.
Grand prix
In the Grand prix it's just like all the previous Mario Kart games. Insted of having the eight people in a race you now race 12 players in a race! This can be fun but annoying at times. There are eight cups each with 4 races. Some are short, some long, some hard, some easy. Each with there different things. I think i might list the races just because i feel like it

This is the first cup in the game. It starts off easy to get you going and gets harder as your go. This is still quite an easy cup.

This cup has one of my favoute races. Coconut mall. This cup is also quite annoying! The last two stages can really get you off your seat. When you fall you end up getting to the back and you feel like smashing the TV!

Maple Treeway
Grumble Volcano
These races are more of the long ones. They also are some of the ones that Nintendo have put alot of time into because they look amazing!

Now this one is the one that we have been all waiting for. Why? Because it has rainbow road in it! Nintendo has stuck with there tradition of having a Rainbow road as the last race. Now its bigger and better than ever. It also has a new Bowser's castle! This is one that people will love or hate. One reason... they are really hard! Rainbow road has no protection so if you fall of the edge they it's likey that you are going to be in last place.

Time trials and VS
With time trials there is nothing that is different about them. You just choose out of the 32 tracks what one you want to be timed on. You race alone. With VS it is like Grand prix, you race with others but you dont need to do the whole cup. You can choose what race you want to do.
Battles!
Now lastly lets no forget battles! You can do balloon battle on coin runners. With balloon battle you need to hit the other team with items and a balloon will pop. You get three balloons! With coin runners your team need to colect the most coins. You can hit other players with items and they drop coins. Like before i will list the stages.

Mario Kart Wii nintendo has brang nintendo Wii's graphics to the next level! You can't really compare the graphics to the PS3 or 360 because they were built to shine in graphics. Nintendo did'nt need this because this game is about fun. Even when you do look at the graphics they are outstanding for the Wii! When you get this game you need to install a new system update and i think that that has made the graphics better. When you look at rainbow road it just looks amazing! All the colour and brighness but also the darker colours shine too! There were things that made me dissapointed. One was when you chose a player. If you look at mario he looks like a box. He is not really smooth. His hands look like small boxes but some look really good like bowser. When you use them in a race mario looks really good. Some of the older places could of used a polish up but that didnt bother me.
Overall Mario Kart Wii has the best qraphics of any Mario Kart game yet. Just needed afew clean ups and then it would of been the best it could of been.

In Mario Kart Wii there is many different sounds going at once and they need to keep it together so it doesnt sound like people on drugs. There are 32 songs for 32 tracks plus some more for the menus. How do they sound? GREAT! Each one is the Nintendo sounding music we all love! With the 16 old tracks they still have the same music but with abit of a remix. Each item has it's own sound. Everything in the game has a sound and everyone of them is great!
Overall the music in the game is the best it can be. Nothing needs to be changed.

For Mario Kart Wii you can play 4 different ways! You can use the classic controler, Gamecube controler, Wii remote with numchuck and the Wii remote on its side. The game comes with a Wii Wheel. You put the Wii remote in the hole and off you go. You turn it like you would in a car. I like it how they give you many different controler methods so if you dont like one you can try a different one.
Overall great controls. Giving you heaps of ways to play makes it great if you get bored of the same old controls. To find out more about the Wii Wheel go here, ---->

The mulitplayer in this game is like the other Mario Kart games. You can play 2, 3 or 4 players at a time. You can now even play Wi-Fi. I don't really know what it is like because i have not done it yet but you can play people that are in your friends book or worldwide. You can just play people in Australia. Its just like playing normal but with other people that are real people.
Overall from what i have seen of Wi-fi it looks really good. I need to try it sometime. With mulitplayer nothing wrong but sometimes it can be a bit slow..

Overall this game is too great to miss out on! If you don't have it you should pick it up today! It has everything you want from a Mario Kart game. Nintendo have stuck with there tradition to make a new Mario Kart game for every new console. Pick this up today!
