FIFA FEVER!! - 8/10
A must for anyone who enjoys soccer or for someone who just simply loves the wii.
--Gameplay--Controls--
Smooth and easy to control. The perks of this paticular game is that it is so simple to understand even an eight year old can catch on in a pinch and probably be able to defeat an adult (trust me I have seen it with my own eyes).
The gameplay in FIFA 08 is so basic that if you can not understand it there is probably a crayon lodged in between your brain. Preety much you pass the ball to your players run down the field and score a goal. simple.
To be concise the controls in a nut shell is the 'A' button to pass, the control stick to move, A+B to do long passes and the movement of the wii remote to deliver glorious kicks; from that you will be able to find out how to do alot of other maneuvers that you thought would be impossible; any other difficulties with the controls you can find inside the FIFA 08 instruction manual. duh.
8/10
--Music--Sound--
The music is once again wonderfully picked by the people who made the FIFA series. A magnificent array of bands and single artists which are chosen from all around the globe. I believe they have out done themselves once again in choosing the mucic this year.
The sound is superbly orchestrated this year, and it actually sounds like you are smack bang in the middle of Millennium Stadium; also to add the sound is very smooth and clear this year and does not crackle and pop like last years FIFA which is a definite plus.
Now the commentators are still annoying which hasnt changed, but there is now more phrases and commentes which is better because now they dont REPEAT themselves as frequently like they used to always do. (soz for getting angry there but it bugged me alot)
9/10
--Graphics--
The graphics are quite well made however analysing both 08 and 06 for differences in graphics I could find nothing. It is shame because the wii could present a better image than its smaller counterpart (gamecube) however it didnt.
7/10
--Negatives--
There are not many negatives in this game so I will be very brief.
The controls are very smooth easy to understand. However, when you kick the ball and slide tackle with the wii remote it can lag quite alot; paradoxically, once you move the wii remote it can kick or tackle to early making it quite annoying and fustrating.
--Summary--
This game is wonderfully made and I believe it is paramount to any other soccer game made before it (besides Mario strikers). You will be hooked even though you do not enjoy soccer.
The gameplay is simple and fun, the sound is prestine and clear and the the graphics are fine and not over exceedingly great.
A must buy for this year.
