Dressing as a Samurai of sorts... Got a traditional black silk komono and a bamboo 'rice paddy' pointy hat, but since there is alcohol at the party I'll leave the swords at home and just take a silk fighting fan with me.
Who knows may come back from the party with some funny Samurai Rock God! photos
I'm going to a fancy dress party too, early 90s theme. My housemate and I are going as Mario & Luigi! 
As in Mario & Luigi from that crappy movie that came out in 93 (I think?) The costumes look great, but really hot... hopefully I'll last till midnight with the overalls on.

I think you should stay up till about 2 am, depends if your tired or if anything good is on tv
