Raymon Raving Rabbids-Mini in Games and Depth - 9/10

Dont get me wrong I enjoyed playing this game. However the depth has left something to desire. An average person can knock this game off in 9-12hrs. Which in this age of gaming is something that is just not good enough.

However the mini games unlocked in the story mode (1 player), will be availible for the rest of the family and friends to play (Upto 4 players). This increase the games enjoyment time to unmeasureable lengths. Aslong as you have new people to play with, you will be excited about this game. However people looking for a long single player mode, stay clear, as you will be left wanting. To get the game to a "party standed", you will need to set aside a few days to open all the games, however once you pick it up, you will be unable to put it down the single player mode. The Single player mode can be used as a party mode, take it in turns to complete the mini games.

So for the story mode, Raymon, has been taken by "Rabbids", and is locked in a prison cell forced to fortake in mini games, for the enjoyment of the onlooking "rabbids" in the crowd. The "rabbids" want you to lose at the start and get rather annoyed if you begin to win. However as the game continues there respect grows, they end up falling in love with you and Raymond has his own adoring fans. The ultimate goal is to escape from the prison. I will not ruin how this occurs. But you will love the idea.

There are a total of 15 days, where 5 mini games must be completed, to continue. These vary from dancing, to memory games and throwing daisy (a cow). Each uses the Wii's inventive controllers to the full. Instead of the days of rotating joystics in order to make things move, and those of us without very good thumbs, couldnt play the game, Raymond uses movements. For example, to run the player must shake the nunchuck and wiimote. This is done in the action of feet on the ground. There is however a limited variety of mini-games. There is increasing diffculties, or in the case of dancing, different dances, to very recognisable songs. However for later and quicker dances, I will give you this tip; Grap a second person, one take the nunchuck the other the wiimote. Makes the dance routines much easier.

Once you beat a mini-game in story-mode it is opened for multiplayer games. For many of these, you are not running at the same time, unlike Mario Party. Generally it is one person at a time. This is disappointing, however it is the style and gameplay of the mini-games that will win you over.

This is game is an asset to the new Nintendo system. Anyone who wants to see what a Wii Controller can do this is the game for you. However it does mean moving, so you will have your 30 min of exercise, and a very sore elbow. The graphics are nothing special, but they are fine. There is no need for this title to go over the top, the gameplay is perfect and makes up for any hole in the graphics. I have never been a fan of mini game titles. Raymon has won me over. But it more so that "I can do it" and not get fustrated as my movements arent good enough. It is simple and fun. If you have never had, a game of mini-games and have a family buy it. If you have always loved mini-games, then you should already have it. Rayman Raving Rabbids, is fun and also funny, the monkeys will have you laughing all night. This game will leave you thinking, "Where did they come up with this"

Call the family and friends over, We are playing Raymon to night.
