Legend of Zelda, The Reviews \ Detail

The Legend of Zelda: Moose Perspective - 8/10

20 years ago gamers were dropped into a world of magic and despair. right away as they made there profile on the Legend of Zelda they were dropped into the land of Hyrule with no direction at all. bewildered gamers then wandered into a small cave where they met an odd little man who told Link what had happened to his home land. Link was destined that day to find the eight fragments of the triforce of wisdom that had been split by Princess Zelda and spread far and wide across the land and be the savior of Hyrule.
this game has to be one of the greatest games to ever be released on the NES. this game allowed many gamers to do what they wanted, when they wanted because gamers could really choose what dungeon to beat first or what items to buy with out affecting a whole lot of their progress. if gamers wanted to do some of the easier dungeons first to build up skill and do the more difficult dungeons after they had built up that skill they could do that, if they were a more experienced gamer they could do the more difficult dungeons first and save the easiest for last. what I'm trying to get out is that this game had a whole lot of freedom for an NES game. to me the most fun part of this game is that you never really knew where you were going you could literally wander around for hours and not find anything but octoroks and it would still be fun. now you can probably find a map of this humongous game on the web these days but it still is fun wandering around they land of Hyrule searching for dungeons to find triforce fragments.
I would strongly recommend this to any old school gamer who hasn't played it or hasn't played since the golden days of the NES. Once again like I said this game has a lot of freedom for a 1987, NES game you can go in any order you want with the dungeons. theonly problem I have with this game is the saving I mean for it's time it was a very new thing to save your progress but you can only save your progress when you die and when start the game up again you never really know where you're gonna end up. I wouldn't recommend this to the flat, edgy gamers who only like games with extreme amounts of blood and language cause you're not gonna find any of that in this game or any other NES game. in short this is one of the best Zelda games in the series (in my opinion of course) but it couldn't go with out some flaws like saving your progress and the fact that you gotta find a guy to tell you the story of the game which really isn't that difficult to find just walk into a cave in the first screen but honestly at first I thought it was a shop. So if you have any Wii Points I would strongly recommend you check out the Legend of Zelda it's worth the Wii Points and I'd like to say one of the best games in NES and Zelda series.

Moosechild's overall thought of The Legend of Zelda:
Gameplay- 9/10
Story- 10/10
Graphics- 9/10 (for it's time)

Good review... the game sounds harder than I previously thought though... All that wondering around, huge game world, no directions... I think this is what is putting me off about this game: it looks easy, but doesn't sound it. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.

I love old-school nintendo I like to reminisce the NES days even though I wasn't even alive when even as NES was dying I still love the simplicity of games like the Legend of Zelda.
