Well, I have an 8600. It does help. Windows hasnt crashed once since I got it.
Although I must admit, upgrading macs is so easy. Just buy a new computer.

Macs = money i dont have.

Talking to my grandpa a month ago, talking about how he used to work for IBM a while back blah blah blah, and explained things like why macs are so overpriced.

Macontish designed the GUI, windows stole it, and in the end reserach and development cost a lot more money then microsoft stealing it.

Eh, i got h/w to do, just downlaoded and copied the ISO onto a disc. Booted from CD and had no clue what was going on, don't have time tonight to mess around

I wanna boot from my extra partition not a CD.

It was 2 months, and today i'm running what you call 'unstable' without a single crash, blue screen or death, or error. Except one, which was because it wouldn't connect to my 10 year old printer.

Have you tried a Hackintosh before? What hardware you running? Make sure you wear a hat to prevent you from pulling your hair ut. I tried getting it to work on my PC at home... No good. Spent hours and tried everything. Then I took it to work and tried it here on a laptop. With a bit of trial and eror I had it working.

Good luck.. you may well need it.. And for all people wanting to try this.... Please dont base this experience as a judgement of Mac. What you are doing wasnt meant to be done, so you WILL have problems and things wont run quite as they are meant to be... But for a lot of things it does actually run spot on!
