[07.07.17] Update RC1 now with beta testers
A release candidate for the long-awaited update for wiikey was delivered on Friday night to some of our beta testers. This is the final step to releasing the highly anticipated and long delayed update for wiikey.

In all development work there are unforeseeable delays, and wiikey is no exception. We would like to thank our loyal customers for their support and patience!

I'll chip my wii when they release the update, so that can mean either never or really soon. I doubt they'll ever have 100% region free compatibility on any chips in the market ATM.

@ JackAz

The only difference between a clone and the real thing is only the sticker remember. Somehow I can't see how that will work against stopping clones from updating...

I think it was prob a immature release of the wiikey that is the main cause of the delay. They had the pressure of the other chips and just chucked it out to compete. Incomplete.

Yeh it worked, you could play backups. But if you remember when it first came out it did not have some of its advertised functions. Like the SD dump. Its there now but not at launch.

They seem to be keeping typed lipped...even the testers. Hopefully this shows something good.
