and if you do happen to come across a game that greater then 4.6Gb, best bet is to get a dual layer, howerver it may be possible to create a multi-Disk to fit a game across 2 dvds ---> Supports multi-disc games for BOTH Wii and Gamecube as mentioned above.

its very easy, as long as you follow the instructions depending on the chip on where to solder the wires its all good they usually recommened a soldering iron of 15-30watts, and Kynar wire which is very thin.

and to remove you jsut reheat the solder and use a "sucker" to suck the excess solder out.

As of firmware 3.00, it appears this is no longer true. The Wii will even detect a mod-chip before it downloads the update. While the only immediate issue with the new firmware is that the WiiKey setup disc can no longer be booted directly, it's probably better to keep away from the update until further notice.
