Also have an email address for him, (tickleme2@dodo.com.au )but does not seem to work. Was also wondering what police I should report him to? I live in Melboune, but this guy is from NSW.If anyone does catch up with him could you please post the information on this site.

This is what I found out. His name on ebay contact is:
Jacob Flood.
No. provided to ebay is: 0247331927 (which is neither mobile nor landline prefix).

At checkout:
His name is A Taylor of Horsley drive. His bank detail is in Penrith (How far is that from fairfield?).

A search shows that there is no J Flood at Horsle drv, only a JE Flood at a different street altogether.

He seems to be quite professional, and a fellow scammed told me that he had made over 800 transaction.

Lesson learned? Next time, it will be better to request ebay for contact info b/f we send money. Anyhow thanks in advance.

Only Paypal transactions are covered by their buyer protection.

You should however be able to contact your bank and they may be able to help you out. Once my wifes credit card was charged by someone, we contacted the bank and we got our money back.

Only Paypal transactions are covered by their buyer protection.

Unless they have changed it all. I don't feel like reading that link, but I have done it before. I got ripped on a NDS, $400 gone, $375 returned. All done via bank deposit. I will find the claim form.

I did click that link and I'd now like for you to point me to where it says you cannot get protection from Bank Deposit?

I've been using ebay for a couple of years and the first drama I had was just before christmas.. got an iphone for $700, paid the dude through paypal and then he told me that he was waiting on stock.. he offered a refund, I said ok then he said I have to wait until he sells more as he'd already forwarded on the money... the ebay policy is 10 days for nondelivery so I gave him 10 days, then he still didnt have it so I harassed him for a refund - it was some young kid who was trying to be a dj (google is my friend!) - he ended up refunding it through paypal so I was lucky.. turned me off getting an iphone though.. the 0247 phone number posted is definitely not fairfield, its around penrith somewhere (bout half hour from F/Field)

I agree, 10s of thousands of eBay sales happen every day. Only a very few ever have a problem. I am nearly up to 1300 transactions on eBay & only ever had a very miner issue with one of them. You need to be a little careful, but most of the scams on there are very obvious.
