Got Pikmin Wiimake today of course, it was released today. Took it home and booted it up on my 52" Widescreen TV i got back from repair a week ago. The start-screen had me worried cause it was a bit jaggy, until i got into the game. Now firstly, the controls are great and work very very well. A little overly sensitive, but perhaps i am subconsciously comparing it to the original. My main beef with the game is the graphics. It's as if Nintendo has gone "Well, we're too lazy to make the game 480p AND put in some Anti-Aliasing, so we'll just stick with the 480p". So instead of being slightly blurry like the original, it's a little crisper and so ridiculously jaggy that it looks simply terrible. The Pikmin don't even have oval heads anymore, you can clearly see the jaggy edges on every edge of everything. Once a game beautiful and lush (even if it was a little blurry) now it's overly sharp and jaggard everywhere, with everything in the game losing it's soft leafy look. I'll give it more of a go to see how it goes, but so far, not impressed.
